Mayweather’s fear seems reasonable given how much the boxers must pay the sanctioning organization, and nothing has changed.

Knowing the World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF), and World Boxing Organization (WBO) sanctioning fees in the world of professional boxing can be difficult. Every organization has different policies and fees that affect the bottom line of boxers and promoters.

According to WBC regulations, promoters must pay an annual registration fee, often in the range of $7,000. The cost of a fight varies from $5,000 to $25,000 based on the weight class and type of title. While unoccupied belts demand $2,000 from each party, champions and challengers with earnings up to $100,000 get minimum payments of $3,000 and $1,000, respectively.

Moving on to the WBO, their pricing structure makes more sense. There are no fees for promoters, and winners give back 3% of their total fight earnings, with a minimum of $1,000 and a maximum of $200,000. This is slightly changed by unification fights, which keep the same minimum and maximum restrictions but add a 2% charge to the purse.

Speaking on Froch on Fighting, “The Cobra” projected a fantasy match between the two by referencing a common opponent in Wladimir Klitschko.

“AJ seems too large for him, but a prime David Haye exudes excellence. powerful, quick, and courageous as you please. It’s possible that he reached Anthony Joshua and began to catch him. After watching that match, you can see that Klitschko was simply too big for David Haye. Leaning on him, he suffocated him. Even while I believe David Haye could work magic on AJ, I just believe AJ defeats the Hayemaker because he is too large for him. That fight sounds like fun.

In 2011, Haye was unable to defeat Klitschko. The legendary Ukrainian fighter would lose by stoppage to Tyson Fury in 2015 and then to Joshua in 2017.

Joshua is stepping up his campaign to reclaim his titles while Haye is contentedly enjoying his retirement.

Though Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been out of the ring for almost a year, he may be heading back overseas this summer, according to sources.

With a body shot in the seventh round, the Baltimore southpaw recorded his 27th stoppage and 29th victory of his career against Ryan Garcia.

It reached the top five gates in Las Vegas history and was one of the most profitable fight nights of 2023. Tank was placed under house arrest and later sent to prison for a hit-and-run incident in 2020, therefore he was unable to maintain the momentum.

With Devin Haney opting to move up a category and give up his titles, he is currently the only WBA Lightweight World Champion, and fans have been clamoring for word on the 29-year-old’s comeback. Some had anticipated that he would appear in PBC’s inaugural event with its new broadcast partner, Amazon Prime, but that hasn’t been the case.

Rather, according to several sources cited by The Ring Magazine, Davis is scheduled to face in the summer in the United Kingdom.

Although there are no known opponents associated with the news, conjecture on who British celebrity would take the other corner will now be entertained.

If the news is true, it will be Tank’s second fight in the United Kingdom; his first came at the Copper Box in 2017, when he stopped Liam Walsh in the third round.

He also said that Jaron Ennis can go up and beat a top fighter at 154 pounds after establishing himself as the 147-pound champion. According to Rahman, Ennis will undoubtedly become “Bud” after a thrilling victory over a challenging opponent at 154 pounds. Rahman continued, “I think Jaron will fight him [Terence Crawford] once he’s there and if the public demands it.”

In addition, he stated that Jaron Ennis, having become the 147-pound champion, is capable of defeating a world-class fighter at 154 pounds. Rahman says Ennis will definitely become “Bud” following an exciting triumph over a tough 154-pound opponent. Rahman went on to say, “I think Jaron will fight him [Terence Crawford] once he’s there and if the public demands it.”

The IBF forced Terence Crawford to accept a challenge from Jaron Ennis following his fight with Errol Spence Jr. Crawford, however, was unable to compromise with “Boots” Ennis because he needed to rematch “The Truth.” Consequently, “Boots” won the IBF title that “Bud” had been deprived of. In this regard, Ennis has been making fun of Crawford in an attempt to pick a battle with “Bud.”

He requested that his followers caption the photo as they saw fit, and wow, he received a lot of answers. The post was made in response to recent speculation that Mike would have a challenger at age 57.

Social media erupted with news yesterday that Mike Tyson might square off against MMA icon Fedor Emelianenko. Furthermore, Mike’s camp has not confirmed that “The Emperor” Emelianenko would take on Mike in Saudi Arabia, despite his prior expressions of enthusiasm. His Instagram post kept admirers entertained in the interim.

A few hours ago, “Iron” Mike posted a photo of himself on the social media site along with a note that offered his loyal fans a unique chance to communicate with him. He annotated a candid photo of himself with the words “Caption This.” With a lit cigarette between his fingers, the former heavyweight was sitting back on his chair, dressed in a black t-shirt and skully of the same color.

He leaned his thick, strong arm on the table in front, which held a bright red lighter—likely used to light the cigarette. Tyson looked at it blankly until something pulled his eyes to the left, beyond the image’s boundaries. The boxing community showed off their inventiveness in the comment area when they saw the post today and asked for a caption.

Following their assignment to create the greatest caption for the post, Mike’s followers went to work, creating some of the most accurate interpretations of Mike’s facial emotions. One person even went so far as to caption their photo with Mike’s notorious bite fight incident. “I’m feeling peckish,” the person commented. Give me your ear. It’s interesting to note that Mike sells treats infused with cannabis under the “Holy Ears” brand, which fits the description even better.

Something that Mike must have considered after retiring from boxing was said by another user. “Contemplating whether or not to return to claim the heavyweight title,” the user commented.

Another person described the sight as Mike sitting across from some police officers in a room being questioned. The user said, “I want my lawyer, I aint talkin’.” Given that Mike has experience with the law, would he have made such a statement during one of his assignments?

One of the famous quotes that Mike had once uttered to a boxer was brought up by the following user. “Big boy, sign the contract, please,” the user wrote. Bob Sapp challenged Tyson to a bout in 2003 following Tyson’s victory over Kimo Leopoldo. Mike thus agreed to take on the challenge and used the now-famous statement.

A user attempted to caption the post humorously. “What do you mean we are out of hot pockets?” the user wrote.

Why would he ever act in such a foolish manner? Although a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao seems unlikely, a fight between Terence Crawford and Floyd Mayweather is not.

About a RIZIN event in December 2023, “Pac-Man” hinted about the possibility of a fight between himself and Floyd. The Japanese promoters were intended to host the bout, however a recent update indicates a different host and venue. A WBN story from January 18 claims that the Saudi investors want to stage the fight.

According to the article, as part of its Riyadh season, the Saudis hope to bring the fight in late 2024. But it’s also important to note that Floyd and his team have not responded. When the two initially met in 2015, it was because the fight had left fans unhappy. That being said, Floyd had prevailed in classic Mayweather form.

A fan posed a Floyd vs. Crawford query, but Mayweather Promotions CEO slapped it away, raising doubts about his chances of facing Manny Pacquiao. But who do you believe would prevail in a fight of that sort?

John Fury Gives His Verdict On Joshua-Ngannou

John Fury, who is known for being quite open about his opinions on boxing, has now provided a prediction for Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou’s impending bout.

Gervonta Davis just become an Islamic convert and adopted the name Abdul Wahid. Similarly, Bill Haney minimized the boxer’s skills during a recent visit on the Porter Way Podcast by referring to “Tank” as Abdul Wahid. Bill claims that at first he believed Wahid could put his son Devin in danger. But after seeing Gervonta’s most recent bouts, he declared that he was certain that “Tank” was no longer a match for “The Dream.”

At first, I would have assumed that taking on Abdul Wahid, the former boxing face, would be the most difficult challenge. At first, I would have concurred. However, the more I observe him, the less confidence I detect in the young man,” Bill said. Davis, in his view, is prepared exclusively to handle Mexican boxers who have dubious ring footwork. Similarly, he continued, “The child is prepared and engineered to take on slow-moving Mexican fighters.” He’s never faced up against someone who looks like Devin.

While Davis claimed he nearly knocked out Haney, the latter refuted the claim, claiming instead that “The Dream” beat up “Tank” pretty good. He also counseled Devin to make the most of his celebrity before taking on Davis. “I swear to you. “Your father will weep for what I’m going to do to you,” Tank remarked. “Enjoy it to the fullest while it lasts,” he continued.

Thus, early today, Terence Crawford shared an excited Instagram post announcing his return to the gym. Supporters could not have desired more. In addition to the likes, the post has received a constant flow of comments, some of which are from well-known people.

Numerous commenters today noted that Crawford might also resolve the issue with Jaron “Boots” Ennis. The much-maligned fixture has been absent from the welterweight class for some time.

Following his victory over Errol Spence Jr. at the T-Mobile Arena in the previous year, Terence Crawford declared his desire to face either Canelo Alvarez or Jermell Charlo. There were also rumors of a brawl involving Gervonta Davis. Anthony Joshua claims that one uppercut “ruined the career” of a fierce rival.

Before their ten-round match on Match 8, Anthony Joshua has threatened Francis Ngannou, saying he “breaks eye sockets” and has “ruined careers.”

After a strong but unsatisfactory performance against Tyson Fury in the last fight, the former UFC Champion has earned a shot against Joshua. He thinks the fight would end if he lands clean against Joshua.

“AJ” is reportedly treating the battle as seriously as he would any previous bout, even though he is aware of the dangers involved with a puncher like Ngannou. He does, however, fully support himself.

He emphasized to his supporters not to undervalue his power in an interview with Boxing News.

However, I believe that people undervalue me and assume that since I’m not that strong psychologically, they can just come and put pressure on me. Even with all of the excitement surrounding Ngannou, he still needs to pass through me. He is staring at a combative individual.

“Power punching is what I do myself. I break eyes out of people. I gave Helenius a spark out, I fractured Wallin’s nose and eye socket, and I f***ing ruined Dillian Whyte’s career with an uppercut. The list is endless.

“It will be an excellent fight because he has to deal with me.”

After a heated build-up, Joshua and Whyte squared up for the British Heavyweight title back in 2015. The Olympic Gold Medalist was swiftly lured into a brawl.

In the opening frame, “AJ” stunned Whyte with a left hook. He fired a shot after the bell, causing chaos and motivating Whyte to retaliate. Referee Howard Foster brought the two men’s teams under control once they entered the ring.

“The Bodysnatcher” attempted to change the tide in the second and had Joshua wobbling, but the future two-time world champion regained control and punished Whyte with strong blows in the seventh before, as previously said, sending him flat on his back with the fatal uppercut.

After that, Whyte amassed a run of eleven victories before Alexander Povetkin unseated him once more with a cunning left uppercut that had disastrous results. Two years later, Tyson Fury would halt him once more with an identical shot.

Prior to Whyte’s doping test failure last year, the British rivalry was about to heat up again. Since then, he has avoided the ring.
