“Why Would HeFans frequently find themselves daydreaming about what may have been if they had been fans of X today! Leonard Ellerbe swiftly ended the fan’s query, though, as soon as he brought up the iconic Floyd Mayweather against Terence Crawford. The CEO of Mayweather Promotions shuts down a fan who questions Floyd Mayweather vs. Terence Crawford, saying, “Er Do Something Dumb Like That?”

Crawford’s career to far has been nothing short of spectacular, while Mayweather went down in history as the most successful boxer, capturing belts in five different weight classes. There’s no denying that it would have been amazing to watch them battle. Here’s what Mayweather Promotions’ CEO had to say about it today, though.

“Would it be the highest-grossing fight of all time if Floyd Mayweather came back now to fight Terrance Crawford for his titles?” a fan inquired a few hours ago. The fan even proposed that Floyd should be among the top five all-time if he prevailed in the bout. But soon after, Ellerbe discovered the tweet and quickly put an end to the rumors.

Why would he ever act in such a foolish manner? Mayweather’s business colleague countered, “He already has all those records.” He continued by saying it doesn’t matter what people think about Mayweather’s standing in the all-time rankings. Although a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao seems unlikely, a fight between Terence Crawford and Floyd Mayweather is not.

About a RIZIN event in December 2023, “Pac-Man” hinted about the possibility of a fight between himself and Floyd. The Japanese promoters were intended to host the bout, however a recent update indicates a different host and venue. A WBN story from January 18 claims that the Saudi investors want to stage the fight.

According to the article, as part of its Riyadh season, the Saudis hope to bring the fight in late 2024. But it’s also important to note that Floyd and his team have not responded. When the two initially met in 2015, it was because the fight had left fans unhappy. That being said, Floyd had prevailed in classic Mayweather form.

A fan posed a Floyd vs. Crawford query, but Mayweather Promotions CEO slapped it away, raising doubts about his chances of facing Manny Pacquiao. But who do you believe would prevail in a fight of that sort?
