Former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua just got done with the all-British clash against IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, which saw a record 96,000 people in attendance. Now, he might be heading into another banger against former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

You see, Joshua and Fury are two of the most prominent British heavyweights who have been pitted against each other for a potential fight for several years. Despite numerous attempts to negotiate a fight between them, nothing has ever materialized. However, here’s where things get interesting.

Joshua just lost to ‘DDD’ in a huge upset, with people questioning his ability to fight. In the meantime, ‘The Gypsy King’ has stepped up to reveal that a fight between him and Joshua will indeed happen, otherwise, it would be a travesty. While speaking to a panel of experts during yesterday’s event headlining Nick Ball vs. Ronny Rios on TNT Sports, Fury stated, “At the end of the day, it’d be a travesty if we didn’t fight.”

Referring to Joshua’s unforeseen loss, where he was dropped four times en route to a knockout at Wembley last month, Fury confidently announced, “No matter if he loses 20 more fights. If he doesn’t win another fight and has ten years away from the game, it doesn’t matter, we have to fight. It’d be a travesty.”

It’s also worth mentioning that since his loss to ‘Dynamite,’ Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn have expressed interest in a rematch with Dubois. While they didn’t have a rematch clause in the contract, Daniel Dubois has revealed he would be open to fighting anyone who offers him the most money.

That means while the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight may not happen soon, it’s definitely in the cards, much to the delight of all the British boxing fans. Not to mention, Fury has a huge test ahead of him as he prepares to lock horns with former undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk again in December. Meanwhile, it appears Fury has settled on roasting Anthony Joshua.

Tyson Fury presents a witty comparison with Anthony Joshua

Since Joshua’s loss, ‘The Gypsy King’ seems to have revitalized his rivalry with ‘AJ.’ Take his recent Instagram story, for example. Mocking his fellow British heavyweight, Fury presented a humorous comparison between their lifestyles. In a playful post, Fury contrasted Joshua’s mindful diet with his relaxed approach to food.

Sharing Joshua’s image with a chiseled physique and the details of his breakfast, Fury highlighted, “My breakfast consists of yams, eggs, and dates. Followed by a big bowl of porridge, a protein shake, a glass of orange juice, and a glass of honey, lemon, and ginger.” Meanwhile, Fury also shared his own diet, which has helped him build his flabby and pudgy physique.

Under his own picture, Tyson wrote, “I remember one night I had 14 pints of Fosters and then sparred three top-ten heavyweights and battered them all,” adding a cheeky “Just saying” with a laughing emoji.

Jokes aside, it will be a fantastic update for fans who have waited years to see a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. However, it’s yet to be seen whether ‘The Gypsy King’ follows up on his word to make the fight happen. Do you think they will ever fight?

Remember the time when Jonathan Owens photoshopped Simone Biles as a painting in the Louvre? Well, it might have been a fun act but Biles’ breathtaking demeanors are turning out to be more enticing than an artistic masterpiece. And that’s a sentiment that fans have narrated after watching Biles’ behind-the-scenes moments at the ongoing Gold Over America Tour. The gymnastics GOAT has always been an inspiration for many. Whether she is twisting and turning on the mat or promoting body positivity, Simone Biles does it in style. The 27-year-old had one of the best Olympic outings recently. Termed as a ‘quitter’ after the Tokyo Olympics, Biles came back emphatically to win 3 gold medals in Paris.

And even after cementing her place in the gymnastics world as the second-most decorated female gymnast in Olympic history, Simone Biles did not opt for leisure. Her immense attachment to the sport made her jump right into the Gold Over America Tour. Going around the country, Biles continues to showcase her moves to mesmerize the fans. Ahead of her show in Brooklyn, Biles gave a sneak peek into the backstage of the Gold Over America Tour.

Elle USA just dropped a carousel post on Instagram featuring the most decorated US Olympic gymnast in all her glory! With the caption, “Fresh off a history-making performance at the Paris Olympics, #SimoneBiles is back on the mat. The gymnastics GOAT is currently on a cross-country trip with the Gold Over America Tour, along with her teammates #JadeCarey and #JordanChiles, for a Golden Girls reunion. Ahead of her Barclays Center show in Brooklyn last night, the gymnast took us backstage to see how she gets ready.”

In the first picture, Biles is seen in a brown hoodie, admiring her perfect makeup in a vanity mirror. Next up, the champion could be seen in a casual mood, trying to select her outfits from a rack of clothes. The rack also had some of the identical brown hoodies that Biles was wearing on the Athleta Presents Gold Over America Tour. The third picture was a blend of two emotions that perfectly described Simone Biles—makeup and food as she sat still getting her hair done and eating a slice of pizza.

Her love for pizza is well known, as Biles chomped onto the delicacy soon after completing her redemption at the French capital, securing three Olympic golds and one silver medal. The next two images saw Biles taking a selfie and a closeup of her GOAT pendant that the champion first wore after her all-around triumph in Paris. Now then, with all the breathtaking updates coming in, fans could not stop drooling at their favorite gymnastics beauty queen.

Simone Biles compared to Picasso’s painting

Biles’ charming looks, bubbly personality, and, of course, her legendary acts on the mat have made her a fan favorite. With the recent images coming in, the gymnastics world didn’t want to waste time by not complimenting the gymnastics GOAT. Thus, they came up with some rich comparisons while taking to the comments section.

One netizen could not resist likening Simone Biles’ beauty to something beyond even Picasso’s imagination, highlighting her charm and uniqueness. It draws from fans’ admiration for Biles. Fans have flocked to the comment section to see her behind-the-scenes pictures from the Gold Over America Tour. The commenter wrote, “Even Picasso couldn’t have dreamed up the kind of beauty she possesses. She’s beyond any artist’s imagination”. Adding such comments, they praised the extraordinary talent and beauty of the GOAT.

Reflecting heartfelt admiration for Simone Biles’ multifaceted talent and personality, one Instagram user was captivated by Biles’ pictures from the Elle photoshoot. They wrote, “ she’s the best!!!”. After her historic performance at the Paris Olympics, Biles had already proven her true worth, emerging as the most decorated gymnast in history. And now she’s also taking over the glamour world.

One user threw light on Simone Biles’ remarkable journey from facing criticism as a “quitter” after the Tokyo Olympics to her triumphant return at the Paris Olympics. Acknowledging her growth, not just in her athletic achievements but also in her personal life, as she balances her love for gymnastics and promotes body positivity, the netizen commented, “She has blossomed right before our very eyes. ”. She started her Olympic journey at the age of just 19 in the Rio Olympics. Back then, the world did not know that after a decade that same young teenager would rule the gymnastics arena and secure every possible victory.

Praising Biles’ striking look and alluring appearance in the pictures, one fan took to the comment section and complimented her facial features. “Face card ”, mentioned the user. Alongside being the star athlete that she is, her beauty and confidence also reflect when she steps into a different realm. When she posed for the cover of Vogue or walked down the red carpet at the Met Gala, she embraced her beauty with all the love.

“That smile lights up the world”, commented another admirer of the GOAT. Securing endless accolades and building a personal connection with her fans, she is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated gymnasts across the globe. And fans can’t even resist praising the infectious smile and positive energy of the queen of the gymnastics arena. With the Simone Biles fever in full swing, the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour is shaping up to be a massive hit! Her charisma and talent are drawing in crowds and turning every performance into an unforgettable experience.

TGL wasn’t off to a good start. TGL offers a team concept, yes like LIV Golf, but what sets it apart is the technology. The golf world once accused TGL of copying LIV Golf, and it garnered a lot of criticism when its launch was delayed because of an unfortunate roof-collapsing accident because of weather. It was then announced that TGL would be rolled out early in 2025, but now it seems that fans are not so excited about it anymore.

TGL is the brainchild of big names like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. NUCLR GOLF ran a poll on X asking, “Just 100 days remain until TGL gets underway; will you be watching?” The poll results are surprising as there are more than 900 votes and more than 50% have voted for “Not watching.” Who would have thought that something that has golf’s biggest names associated with it would not interest fans?

Fans might not be looking forward to TGL but a few pros like Xander Schauffele are. Per him, fans will love it; “It’s going to be something that people have never seen before.” The 2x Major champion also believes that TGL will help many fans understand golf from close up. And this “more tech-forward” component in the game might also give it a different reaction. A few fans would like to differ though, it seems.

Fans not being excited for TGL is yet another blow for Woods. He recently underwent a fifth back surgery and is in recovery. He is excited to return to the golf scene again, be it on the real greens or simulated ones. Fans not only expressed their disinterest through the poll but also expressed their thoughts in the comments section.

Interestingly, people have mixed reactions toward this new tech-based golf; some are eagerly awaiting its launch, while others are convinced it will flop.

What are fans saying about Tiger Woods’s TGL?

This fan talked about the uncertainty of this team golf concept, saying, “Either going to be massively cringy or an all-time watch. Literally no in-between.” TGL is an intriguing concept, blending technology with golf and utilizing a specially designed SoFi Center for the matches. However, at the same time, it’s something happening for the first time in the sport, and this fan isn’t sure whether it will be able to produce the results that Woods and others are expecting it to.

One fan talked about the longevity of TGL, saying, “Should be a huge hit early on… with curious golf fans. But longevity of it, I’m not sure. “ Although it’s not confirmed how much Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods had to spend for TGL overall, they certainly spent $50 million when SoFi Center suffered severe damage due to heavy rain and wind in November 2023. Not only that, it even forced its launch to next year. If, after all the challenges, TGL fails to achieve long-term success, all the efforts will have been in vain.

Another fan outright revealed that they won’t watch the tech-based golf, saying, “I’ll watch it once but probably forget about it after that. It just seems like ‘alot’.” Back in November 2023, when they announced the format of TGL, fans had a similar reaction as they bashed with comments like “I think I speak for everyone when I say we will watch this once and then never again.” Now that only 100 days are left, there doesn’t seem to be any change in their thoughts.

Meanwhile, some fans are looking forward to it and expressed their thoughts with comments like “I will watch probably.” and “I’ll give it a go.” However, only after its launch in January can we say how much crowd TGL was able to impress.

Logan Paul just announced the birth of his first child with his fiancée, Nina Agdal“Esmé Agdal Paul has entered the chat,” Paul wrote on Instagram while celebrating his daughter’s birth. Paul and Agdal started dating in June 2022 and announced their engagement in June 2023. In April this year, they announced they were expecting their first child. Nevertheless, congratulations were in order as Paul’s family and friends were delighted by his latest Instagram post. Even one of his critics, for whom Logan Paul shares an equal dislike, was in the comment section to congratulate the happy couple on the birth of their baby girl.

Ryan Garcia took to Instagram and wrote, “Congratulations”. However, in a power move, Logan Paul replied to his comment and reminded him of the lawsuit that his company had filed against him. “Prime still suing you for lying but thanks,” Paul wrote.

For those unversed, Logan Paul had sued Ryan Garcia for defamation over the claims he made about ‘The Maverick’s’ energy drink company Prime Hydration. Garcia made several disparaging remarks about Prime, claiming the “drink is unhealthy”“hurts kids”, and anybody who drinks Prime is “working for Satan”. However, Garcia seemed unfazed about the lawsuit as he responded to Logan’s comment on Instagram, “I could care less about your lawsuit. I’m giving congrats to the birth of your child.”

In the lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the company claimed that Garcia spread false claims on the internet that Prime had “horrible chemicals” that hurt children and caused liver damage. “He provides no evidence to substantiate any of his claims. Even the most cursory investigation shows that Prime’s products do not contain poison, do not kill brains or kids, and that its team does not engage in any of the horrific behaviors and dreadful crimes that Garcia asserts they do,” the complaint read.

However, Ryan Garcia did issue an apology to Logan Paul once the complaint was filed.

An honest apology from Ryan Garcia or a cop-out?

Garcia backtracked on his comments about Prime Hydration drink after Loan Paul’s company filed a lawsuit against him. In an interview with Ana Paula Saenz, the Victorville native apologized directly to Paul, saying, “Bad for the fight that we’re going through because I’ve known the family for years” and this “s–t’s breaking my heart.”

Now, the lawsuit might have forced Garcia to take a step back and declare a truce. After all, he can now be forced to pay a huge amount of money to get out of his legal dispute. Furthermore, this isn’t the only lawsuit Garcia has to deal with. He has also been sued by Devin Haney for battery, fraud, as well as breach of contract. Therefore, it seems like any wrong choice of words by Ryan Garcia could cost him a fortune.

Remember how Jonathan Owens mentioned that his wife, Simone Biles, would stop by in Chicago on Sunday? Well, that time is finally here! The Chicago Bears safety cheered his wife on in the Bercy Arena while she dazzled the crowds with her flawless routine. But once they returned to the States, the lovebirds immediately had to go back to their busy schedules. While the G.O.A.T. focused on her Gold Over America Tour, Owens resumed his NFL duties in the Windy City. It looks like their stars have finally aligned.

The tour stops in Chicago tonight. After what probably felt like a long wait, it is the Olympian’s turn to take on the cheerleader role. The 27-year-old showed up at Soldier Field on Sunday for the Chicago Bears vs. Los Angeles Rams game. The gymnast even shared a sweet story of her walking along the field before her husband came over to kiss her. Two simple emojis accompanied the video: “” We love every moment of this sweet reunion!

The last time Simone Biles showed up to a Bears game was the preseason home opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Even though she wore an outfit adorned with Owens’ likeness, it heavily showcased the Green Bay Packers logo. However, this time around, the Olympian rolled into the stadium in style. She wore the ‘Ditka sweater’, with Bears written across it, sporting the infamous bedazzled necklace. The 27-year-old definitely kept it cool and breezy.

Before the gymnast showed up on the sidelines at Soldier Field, Owens surprised his Olympian wife with a heart-shaped bouquet of roses. Could they be any more adorable? Unfortunately, since then, the two have had to stay apart. Jonathan Owens discussed their long-distance situation in a September 13 episode of ‘Sippin’ with Screeden’. Lauren Screeden asked the Chicago Bears safety if Biles would attend their game against the Houston Texans on September 15.

However, Owens clarified that since the Gold Over Tour America commenced the next day, she would have to give it a miss. “So it’s kind of a tough turnaround,” he stated. Even though their busy schedules made it difficult for them, he mentioned she would show up on September 29. “She’ll get to come to the game; they’ll watch the game at 12:00.” But what if we tell you this isn’t the first time the lovebirds have reunited?

Jonathan Owens spent quality time with Simone Biles in Milwaukee

If there’s one thing we know for certain—the lovebirds will always manage to find time for each other. Even though they’ve both been incredibly busy with their responsibilities, Owens managed to slip away to spend some time with his wife. The 29-year-old shared a clip of the Olympian practicing her routine for the tour’s Milwaukee stop on Instagram.

Seldom shy when she’s on the mat, Simone Biles flashes a shy smile his way before moving out of the frame. He captioned the clip with an array of lovey-dovey emojis. We understand, Jonathan. We’re just as dazzled by the Olympian as you are. But he enjoys cheering the gymnast on, no matter where they are.

However, the couple has taken their love to new heights. The 11x Olympic medalist decided to get a surprise tattoo for her beau after she wrapped a show in Arizona. Keeping it simple, she got a ‘J’ on her ring finger. But here’s the kicker. In conversation with Young Hollywood, the 27-year-old revealed what her tattoo signified.

“He actually has a big ‘S’ on his ring finger, so when he’s not wearing his playing, I’m still with him.” Cue the collective aws. Owens surprised her with the tattoo, and Simone Biles has wanted to get one since then. So what are the duo going to do later tonight? The 29-year-old will watch the Olympian & Co. in action at the United Center at 7 PM.

Devin Haney has been out for blood since his fight against Ryan Garcia was overturned to a no-contest. The duo fought each other in April and Garcia defeated Haney in a one-sided contest. The domination shown by King Ry was something that no one expected in their wildest dreams. However, certain investigations revealed Garcia was not only overweight but was also on PED during the fight.

After that, the California resident was served with a year-long ban by NYSAC, forcing him to forfeit his purse winnings of over $1 million to Golden Boy Promotions and imposing an additional $10,000 fine on him. But Haney is not satisfied with this punishment as he filed a lawsuit against his last opponent alleging Garcia of battery, fraud, and breach of contract. Everyone has a different opinion about this act by Haney and Eddie Hearn also revealed his thoughts on the lawsuit and how it can impact the boxing world.

Eddie Hearns supports Devin Haney

Hearn was The Dream’s promoter at the time and the two shared a special bond at that moment. Michael Benson from the Talksport revealed his conversation with the Matchroom Boxing promoter as the latter came out and shared his views about the lawsuit where he declared it as a pivotal moment in boxing history. “This could be a really pivotal moment for boxing because people have said in the past when a fighter fails a drugs test and goes through with the fight, ‘Should there be a legal action or police action against that fighter?” stated Hearn referring to the previous instances where the same thing happened. Hearn firmly believes that strict action should be taken against a boxer who fails the drug test and still goes through the fight and how this case can make it happen.

But considering the fact, that Hearn has been previously accused of pushing the fight between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn even when Benn failed a drug test, puts him in a difficult position to have this opinion.

Hearn further added, “If Haney wins this case, I think it’s gonna really start to deter fighters from taking PEDs. When Ryan Garcia gets a one-year ban it’s no problem, few months off and then you’re back in camp. But if you lose tens of millions of dollars, it puts a different spin on it.” The promoter believes that a decision in favor of Haney will benefit boxing as a whole as it will somehow reduce the number of fighters using PEDs. Furthermore, it will also cost Garcia a loss of millions of dollars not only to fight this case but also to add payments in case of loss.

This attitude by the 45-year-old promoter is surprising because he got into a heated argument with Haney a few days ago. The duo has not been on good terms since their separation.

Hearn and Haney: An ugly spat

The Dream was one of the most prominent boxers under Hearn till his fight against Garcia. After the defeat, both of them separated due to various reasons, and the relationship has taken a turn for the worse since then.

During the Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois event, both of them got into an ugly argument following a distasteful tweet by Haney against Hearn. Hearn made sure to give the boxer a piece of his mind and called him “an arrogant f***ing p***k.” He further advised 31-0 to not disrespect him anymore and how his arrogance can lead him down a spiral. There was also an ultimatum issued by Hearn as he warned Haney to not behave like that anymore.

Considering the spiral that this partnership has gone down recently, it was a good surprise to see Hearn keeping personal stuff aside to support his Haney. This case has the chance to shake up the boxing world no matter the result and even Hearn knows that.

Simone Biles has been to the Olympic stage three times in her career. But she hardly would have had ‘deja vu’ each time, as every experience was so distinct. Results-wise, her 11 Olympic medals are divided into 5 from Rio, 2 from Tokyo, and 4 from Paris. And that’s because there are a lot of factors that differed each time she went to the Olympics. In Rio, she was merely a 19-year-old teenager, but in Tokyo, she was the favorite who was burdened with the need to hold the reigns.

Come Paris, she was much calmer and felt, “After all these years putting the mental work in, it’s paid off.” Although Biles may have opined on each experience separately, speaking to George Baleki from NESN, she recently looked back at the collective picture and addressed how each game challenged her differently.

“Oh my goodness!” Simone Biles candidly reacted to this question, which required her to go as far back as 8 years on the memory lane. Chronologically, she started with Rio, about which all she had to say was, “I was so naive about what was going and what was happening.” A teenager back then, she confesses to being ‘mentally programmed’ or hardwired, as one can say, to what would happen if they won gold. Thus, all they did was go out there and do their job, adapting an approach that can be called “a little bit robotic.”

Biles further added that Tokyo was entirely different. Given the Covid pandemic, they tired to push to the bets the could, without fan interaction, as admittedly they “feed off the crowd to have better performances.” On top of it, the morale boost to watch your loved ones around was not there as no spectators were allowed in the arena. Thus, Biles agreed this “was a little bit mentally exhausting more because everybody was going through things and they still had to perform exceptionally on the Olympic stage.”

Finally, coming to Paris, she mentioned how the environment and energy once again was like, “lets bring fun back into the sport.” Their motto was to support each other and to go out and redeem themselves after an underwhelming Tokyo stint. And given that they went in with a better mindset, that reflected in the results too. As Biles agreed there was so much success, followed by so much celebration after Paris. In fact, the Gold Over America Tour itself is a part of that.

However, Simone Biles’ stand about returning back for LA 2028 has apparently changed a lot even recently. From a never say never attitude, it seems like she’s shifted to going with the flow.

Simone Biles is clearly indecisive about the LA 2028 Games

There are obviously a few factors that she’ll have to take into consideration before making the decision for LA. Biles is currently 27 and till LA, she’ll be 31. Now while the norm of present day gymnastics is no longer the same and gymnasts are defying the age barriers, it still remains an aspect she’ll have to be fully prepared about. Biles herself agrees that in gymnastics, the longevity has never been there.

Remeber when the Paris Olympics had just finished, Simone Biles was bombarded with questions about LA. And while she did agree that she’s getting old, the gymnast kept the door open saying, “The next Olympics is at home. So you just never know.” But, it now appears there has been a slight shift, as she’s just thinking about the present.

To an extent that she’s partially irked by not getting to live in the moment. “It’s funny because as soon as you finish the Olympics, they’re like, ‘What’s next?’ and I’m like, ‘Damn, I can’t even relish in this moment and be so grateful for the opportunity to compete on a world stage again at an Olympic Games’ and just to celebrate my success. You guys just want to know what’s next,” she said.

She won at the Olympics over a month back and she’s currently enjoying her success with her team on the Gold Over America Tour. But, there’s no break from the questions about LA. But, Biles is aware she will have to address them soon enough, If not to the world, at least in her own mind because in gymnastics, “As soon as we start training, we’re in for the long haul for those three to four years.” And that is the norm. But, right now she just wants to focus on her mental and physical health.

12-1-1. Looks impressive. Is impressive. But do you know what the numbers mean? Well, many would find it familiar if not recognize it at first sight. But no worries, for we’ll tell you. The figures represent America’s record at the Presidents Cup. Quite an alluring set of numbers. Moreover, it also paints an accurate picture as to which side had the best experience at the biennial event.

Although the American team boasts the best figures at the event and thereby a lot of glorious moments, it’s not as if they have not experienced the bad side of it. Curious now? It would be surprising if you weren’t since the U.S. squad would have had many such instances, good and bad, throughout the 30 years that the contest has taken place.

Memorable & peculiar moments for the U.S. at the Presidents Cup

1. The 2003 Tiger Woods-Ernie Els playoff: Call it the best Presidents Cup ever or even the most entertaining, for the majority of the golf community will agree with you. And this is despite the tournament ending in a tie with not even a single player from both teams going undefeated. Thursday saw the Gary Player-led International squad leading 4-1. Then Friday came and the U.S. hit back to make it 9.5-6.5.

Fast forward a day into Saturday and we see the Internationals sweeping all six matches leading 12.5-9.5. Sunday, however, packed the most entertainment when the American squad won seven matches while losing four and tying one. The score? A scintillating 17-17, and the two teams send Tiger Woods and Ernie Els for a playoff. However, when the match went on till the third hole, the two skippers had a heart-to-heart and decided to end it with a tie. Truly a GOAT moment!

2. Water vs the U.S. team? Of course, America!: It was the Friday Fourball session of the 2007 edition of the tournament. Woody Austin, paired with David Toms, found his tee shot landing on the greenside lake. Off went his socks and shoes in an attempt to splash it out. And off he went as he slipped on a rock to fall in the water face-first while attempting to do so.

Unfortunately for the duo, they had to concede the hole to go two down and give the point to Rory Sabbatini and Trevor Immelman. But falter again. They did not, for Woody ‘Aquaman’ Austin redeemed himself by carding three birdies in a row to tie the match, allowing the U.S. to clinch a 19.5 to 14.5 victory.

3. The playing captain Tiger Woods down under: Only two times has the U.S. had playing captains on the team and both times, the squad has emerged victorious. What then, makes the 15-time major champ’s 2019 win different? Well, Woods had chosen himself as a captain’s pick and led his team to triumph. That too not in America but in Australia, unlike Hale Irwin in 1994.

The golfer was named the captain of the biennial event. But when the Masters came, he claimed the top spot at the major, followed by a Zozo Championship win later on in October. The rest is history as the athlete became a playing skipper for the first time after 25 years and carded figures of 3-0-0. Yes, a whopping three victories to surpass Phil Mickelson’s record of 26 wins.

4. The Patrick Reed Saga: Although the year 2019 was highlighted by the 82-time PGA Tour champ’s scintillating record and captaincy, it stood out for another reason, and sorely so. Enter Reed and his 2019 Hero World Challenge controversy. The golfer had, back at the Woods-hosted tournament, been slapped with a two-stroke penalty. The reason? He tried to improve his lie before playing his third shot on the par-5, 11th-hole sand bunker.

But how does it connect to the Presidents Cup in Melbourne? The Aussie fans made sure to dish out their best heckling talents as he became ‘Mr. Sandman’ in their eyes. However, too much heckling got on Reed’s caddie, Kessler Korain’s nerves, causing him to get into a confrontation and a physical altercation with a fan on Sunday. The looper was then removed from caddie duties for the day’s play. Although the now-LIV Golf Pro did win over C.T. Pan, the moment remains nothing short of embarrassing.

5. The Phil Mickelson blunder: One would rarely mistake the Presidents Cup for the Ryder Cup. But something along those lines is exactly what the Lefty ‘accidentally’ did as he mistook the latter’s rules for the former in 2015. For a bit of clarity: the professional, during day 2 of the competition, was playing alongside Zach Johnson at the par-5, 7th hole in the Fourballs. He then decided to switch to a firmer golf ball for his second shot.

Sounds unproblematic? Dead wrong! For the Presidents Cup, unlike the Ryder Cup, a ‘one-ball rule’ is present where the golfer has to use the same spheroid throughout the round. And Mickelson received a one-hole adjustment for his inadvertent decision to switch the ball. This caused the duo to halve with Adam Scott and Jason Day of the International team. Unlucky!

6. The lone American defeat: With a dominant figure of 12 wins over their rivals, it wouldn’t have emerged as a surprise if the lone defeat was termed an embarrassing moment for the U.S. team. Even more so since the squad consisted of some of the best golfers in the world, including Fred Couples, David Duval, Davis Love III, Phil Mickelson, Mark O’Meara, and Tiger Woods. “The greatest collection of golfers in the world,” said Peter Thompson, the International team captain.

The event, however, was so lopsided that Nick Price secured the winning point on Sunday even before the food was finished serving for breakfast. The International squad won with a dominant figure of 20.5-11.5, marking it as the lone win for the American team’s rivals in the 30 years it has played out.

These are but some of the best and worst moments that the U.S. team experienced and suffered, respectively over the years at the Presidents Cup. Do keep an eye out, for the upcoming event at the Royal Montreal Golf Club might just add to either of the two!

A Baltimore versus Brooklyn seems to have erupted online. ‘The Chosen One’ seemingly fired the first salvo. It didn’t take much time before the ‘Tank’ started dropping heavy shells from his base. The dynamics of the battle appear to be shifting. Gervonta Davis, it appears, is now taking the battle to the foe’s home ground.

An innocuous celebration at Edgar Berlanga‘s end seemingly gave ‘Tank’ Davis another opportunity to question the super middleweight’s credentials in the boxing pedigree. Davis returned from a year-long break and defended his lightweight championship against Frank Martin on June 15. Three months later, Berlanga’s high-profile attempt at a world title squandered in front of Canelo Alvarez. As far as the Baltimorean goes, talks about his next fight have been grabbing headlines for some time. One particular bit of reporting involved Jose ‘El Rayo’ Valenzuela. As rumors of the fight not happening gained traction, Berlanga made his opening move against ‘Tank’.

Gervonta Davis: What’s the point?

‘The Chosen One’ shared a nearly half-minute-long clip through his Twitter handle. It features him standing atop a vehicle along with a few other associates. With loud music playing in the background, Berlanga captured the whole sequence on his mobile, showcasing a large group of supporters on motorcycles and scooters riding alongside.

In Chaste Spanish, Berlanga wrote, “Puerto Rico te amo,” which roughly translates to, “Puerto Rico, I love you.” Though a Brooklyn-born, Berlanga’s love for the land, from where his parents came, is fairly well known. If fans remember, the 27-year-old had hyped the Canelo fight as Mexico versus Puerto Rico rivalry.

But to Gervonta Davis, it was nothing short of a drama. He questioned the revelry. After all, Berlanga lost the fight to Canelo Alvarez, where reportedly, he literally gave away each round. The lightweight champion asked, “Ni**a celebrating failure… lol, yo, congrats on getting ya ass beat.

It seems the online spat ensued as Edgar Berlanga called out Gervonta Davis for avoiding ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela. He called the Baltimorean a ‘Chihuahua.’ Berlanga tweeted that probably Davis’s unwillingness for a face-off stems from the defeat ‘El Rayo’ inflicted on Isaac Cruz. The tough ‘Pitbull’ remains one of the only two men who took ‘Tank’ the whole distance. ‘Tank’ wasn’t going to let it slide.

The Clash Beyond the Canvas

He shot back, saying, “I was champ at 21-22..you 23 [right now], and from the outside looking in, you’re probably not going to be champ [any] time soon.” It appears the deleted tweet featured a clip of Edgar Berlanga dropping on the canvas after receiving a right hook on the face. So Davis further taunted, “Kid, so busy pointing fingers, no realizing he haven’t done sh*t yet.”

So it was over to ‘The Chosen One’ to lift the veil on past transgressions. And the instance he took to make his case—last year’s Ryan Garcia fight. Highlighting how he wants to fight the best in boxing (read: the Canelo challenge), he wondered whether it’s the same with Gervonta Davis too. Otherwise, why is he so fastidious about his opponents? When he finds a particular fighter posing a credible threat, he would burden with the ‘weight clause’.

Rumors of Gervonta Davis possibly entering the ring by December against Lamont Roach Jr. have emerged. Nevertheless, fans could expect the online duel with Berlanga to continue. The Brooklynite might get back to launch his riposte anytime soon.

One week in, and to say that the Simone Biles-led Gold Over America Tour is turning heads would be an understatement. Watching such top elite gymnasts perform a few meters away is a sight that is probably leaving fans not even wanting to blink. Themed costumes, lights, music—it ticks all the boxes of a blockbuster. But what is in for the athletes?

Unlike the 2021 version, this time the men have been welcomed aboard. Thus, Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Shane Wiskus, and Co. are sure having to learn a lot with the G.O.A.T. around. But how do they reckon this experience to be different from other gymnastic competitions? It isn’t the normal competitive setup, and thus, the gymnasts perhaps don’t feel the nerves. While that is a given, there are a few pointers that make it unique.

Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour is no ordinary gymnastics event

Ask Simone Biles about this rigorous gymnastics tour, and she’ll say, “It’s really about sharing that love and passion for the sport with the audience.” It’s also like one big post-Olympics celebration broken into 30 individual bits as the whole of America comes together to relish their Paris achievements. Moreover, Biles agrees that it serves as a much-needed break for the gymnasts to come together and have fun after sweating it out in their intense Olympic training.

Fred Richard highlights how, along with power-packed entertainment, inspiring the next generation is also their motto: “They see what we do and want to become us one day.” Interestingly, the Gold Over America Tour also features athletic brilliance intertwined with high-energy dance choreographies, and that is a rarity. Moreover, the performances have gymnasts grooving to hits as songs by Taylor Swift and Beyonce turn the place up, which aptly fits the definition of a “gymnastics-meets-pop-concert spectacle.”

Cutting the need to have sheer perfect routines also allows the male gymnasts to have fun. Also, instead of doing the usual tricks, they can keep a sharper eye on the quality of their performance. Brody Malone noted how this was oh-so-different from a usual event day. “In competitions, I’m super serious. I don’t really talk that much, barely even smile, to be honest. But this is just fun, and I get to jump around, dance and hype the crowd up.” Performance days are nothing like before. But coming to the main attraction of the show—the gymnast G.O.A.T. herself—one might wonder about the drive that fuels her for the tour!

What are Biles’ motives behind the Gold Over America Tour?

The debut version of the Gold Over America Tour launched in 2021, right after Simone Biles and the team were back from Tokyo. Thus, mental health and the idea of ‘not being okay’ was a theme that they truly touched upon. But this time, that story reaches its climax as the gymnasts strive to portray, “This one is the outcome of putting in that work, taking care of yourself, and where it gets you.”

Making a reference to their Paris redemption, she adds that this tour is about depicting the fruit that comes after taking care of oneself and success, per Olympics.com. Also, she wishes to show the kids who attend that it’s okay to fall and get up, as they spread the message of hope and inspiration.

Besides, given that the men have also joined the gala this year, Simone Biles mentions how “(the men) also bring a little bit, in the best way, sex appeal.” And that a relatively different type of crowd could be pulled in by this. Also, the show has added rhythmic gymnastics to the lineup.
