Critics have been analyzing the way Anthony Joshua has been behaving ahead of his fight for the weekend. Lately, folks have picked up on how quiet, curt, and direct the fighter has been in his interviews. To these critics, Derek Chisora says, “Shut the f*** up.”

On the 23rd of December, a grand card is stacked at the Kingdom Arena of Riyadh. On it, locating his third fight for the year is Anthony Joshua against his Swedish opponent, Otto Wallin. With just days remaining for the fight, the fighters, promoters, and people in attendance have descended on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the press conference for the event, multiple questions were posed to AJ. Looking at his responses, most believed he was rather sobering. Now, defending him, heavyweight Chisora, came down heavily on those who wrote negatively about AJ.
Traveling on the streets of Riyadh, ‘War’ was joined by Kugan Cassius from iFL TV in his car for a quick conversation. In the tête-à-tête, the reporter asked Chisora what he thought about the way AJ has been giving his interviews lately, and how the media has been covering it. Little did Cassius know that the question would trigger Chisora. Irked by the negative reportage AJ has received so far, Chisora asked his critics to not write anything about him, if all they have had to say is negative things about him.
Furthermore, the fighter, who is coming off his unanimous decision victory over Gerald Washington, said, “You never want to see anybody do amazing. You always want to write something sh*t about somebody. You know, the kid is doing amazing for himself and his family.” He extended this defense to critics of Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder too. He further suggested to those who negatively spoke of these fighters, “If you think you can do a better job, just f*cking strap up the f*cking gloves and do it yourselves. If you can’t, shut the f*ck up.”

Oh, to be in the car, with a fuming Derek Chisora. Risky. Joining him in defense of AJ is the latter’s long-standing rival Deontay Wilder. He asked the media to back off of AJ, and let the English fighter do his thing.

Deontay Wilder supports AJ at open workout session

At the open workout session for the ‘Day of Reckoning’ card, AJ did the unthinkable. Instead of showing off his prowess, he let rising fighters enjoy the limelight for once. Present at the event was Wilder who had just wrapped his segment. The fighter is featured on the same card as AJ in a fight against Joseph Parker.

Anyways, while AJ was doing his thing at the event, Wilder was busy speaking to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promo. While at it, he asked the media to give AJ a breather from the relentless flak that he receives. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ remarked, “Y’all put a lot of pressure on this man. I wish everybody would back off him until he fights.”

Wilder and AJ have been anticipating a fight against each other for about 7 years now. However, 2024 comes with hopes. March 9th is a tentative date announced for their impending clash. However, to get it, they’ll need to win their fights on 23rd December.

Deontay Wilder has put 43 opponents to dust but feels Anthony Joshua is the one he needs to fight now. The former WBC heavyweight champion is hotly pursuing a fight with AJ and continues dropping verbal bombs on him. After spending decades at the top, he is looking to close his career and give his fans what they want—a showdown with his fellow journeyman. However, the American boxer wants to put a feather on his boxing resume, which screams that he fought a two-time heavyweight champion.

Wilder and Joshua will feature on the December 23 card, fighting Joseph Parker and Otto Wallin, respectively. If both fighters collect a win, they will be on a collision course for a fight on March 9 in Saudi Arabia. A massive payday awaits the two, despite both chasing different dreams.

After spending 15 years in the boxing ring, Wilder wants to bow out with accolades and respect. He has fought the best and amassed respect as he knocked out every opponent he faced except two. First, when he defeated Bermane Stiverne and claimed the WBC title in 2015, and then whenever he fought Tyson Fury.

The Bronze Bomber’ boasts a staggering record of 43-2-2, 42 KOs, and has nothing left to prove. He could comfortably bask in his success, call it quits, and put on money fights against Francis Ngannou. However, Wilder continues to push for a clash with the British boxer.

The buzz, the history, and the animosity surrounding the fight are unparalleled. Further, the AJ fight will result in enormous PPV buys and a reported big paycheck worth $50 million for Wilder. Meanwhile, if the fight fails to materialize, the only option ahead for the 38-year-old is the winner of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk. Wilder and Fury have already fought three times, and a fourth fight may not be feasible. On the other hand, a fight with Usyk may not generate the same traction as a fight with Joshua might.

A fight in the making for a long

Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua’s rivalry dates back a long time, and it reached a zenith in 2019 when both held all four belts. Despite entering into negotiations multiple times, they both failed to ink a deal. This time around, they are not burdened by the gold.

“After this fight, when I come out with my win, and hopefully Joshua comes out with his win, we can finally once and for all settle the score. And get this and give the fans what they’ve been waiting for to see,” Wilder expressed with a glimmer of hope.

Wilder, at 38, is not getting younger. He now has a two-fold agenda whenever he fights: give the fans the fight they want and fight the best in the division, even at the cost of a title. All he wants to do is leave a lasting legacy, and a fight with Joshua fits the bill.

Fighting Anthony Joshua: a fight for the legacy, not belts

Speaking to the media recently, Wilder mentioned that he knew Joshua’s title ambitions. Joshua undoubtedly harbors intentions to become a three-time heavyweight champion. But for Wilder, the legacy and fighting the best of the best in division matter. The allure of gold doesn’t.

“For me, I want to fight the best of the best in the division. I don’t really care about belts. But to leave my career, I want to leave a legacy. I want to leave something that the people can remember as somebody that fought the best of the best in my era,” Wilder declared.

He continued, “Because at the end of the day, people are not going to worry about what belt you have. But they are going to worry about, they are going to remember about who you fought, the time you fought.”

Alternatively, the Alabama native can hope Usyk triumphs over Fury, and then he can fight him for the undisputed title. After Joshua denies a fight with Wilder, the latter can even try to negotiate a fourth fight with Fury, which might be a better name than most of the boxers on the roster. Fans and promoters might approve of the fight given the previous three successful PPV clashes. But a fight with Joshua will be the best fight he can have next, more so than an IBO heavyweight crown.

A true boxing fan would not want to imagine the event of Mike Tyson’s death. But the former heavyweight champion seems to have thought of it and has laid out plans that his wife shall abide by when the unfortunate event occurs.

At the VAULT conference interview with Patrick Bet-David, the 57-year-old was quizzed on multiple themes, including his journey through the sport and his life post-retirement. However, in one segment, when the audience was allowed to ask him questions, a young fan emerged. In his endearing set of questions, one remained a request for the fighter’s autograph. Explaining why Tyson would not furnish the boy with an autograph, the heavyweight legend also explained what his inheritance looks like after his death.

Instead of giving an autograph, ‘Iron Mike’ offered the young fan a picture. Rationalizing the swap, the fighter explained he’s lost touch with giving autographs ever since photographs have come into place. Furthering his argument that pictures have become the common norm, and explaining the dominance of mobile phones in the era, he revealed that in the event of his death, his wife has been instructed to give away his phone rather than any materialistic inheritance. He noted, “I was telling my wife, when we die instead of giving somebody a will or some furniture or a house, we got to give them my phone cause our secrets would be there.”

Further explaining the generation’s dependence on mobiles, he stated that he would not be able to remember anyone’s number without the device. He remarked, “The phone is just, we’re useless without our phones, I don’t, if anybody’s old enough when you remember you had all the phone numbers in your head. Remember that now if I lose my phone, I can’t call nobody. I’m in an Everglades without my phone.”

Mike Tyson is known for his humor, and his ability to be unpredictable. His answer to the young fan strengthened this assumption. However, at the event, he did something else that held fans in total shock.

At the interview with Bet-David, a massive number of people in the audience joined Tyson. So obviously, it would not be wrong to assume that Tyson would be on his best behavior. Formal and all, right? Well, when has the legend abided by such assumptions? In an unpredictable but very understandable move, the fighter excused himself from the stage midway through the conversation. Why?

Because he had to use the bathroom. Random, right? The host thought so too. In Tyson’s absence, Bet-David remarked, “The element, for me, what I pick up from him every time I talk to him, he has this element of unpredictability.”

The bond between Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki is all about serving sisterhood in the form of friendship. After trailing through competitions and being a part of each other’s lives for more than a decade. While both of them bonded over tennis, now, after so many years, daughters also share a common sporting interest.

Moreover, both of them are quite apart from each other, as Olympia, the 42-year-old American tennis legend’s daughter, is six years old, while Wozniacki’s daughter is only two. But there is one thing they both have in common: their love for tennis because of other mothers.

While both the tennis titans ruled the tennis world together at the same time while maintaining a great friendship with each other. Their daughters are ready to follow their athletic path, but not in tennis. Apart from this, there is one common spotting obsession that can be found in both sporting households.

Recently, the 33-year-old Danish tennis player took to her Instagram account to share a video of her 2-year-old daughter playing a different sport other than tennis. In the video, Wozniacki’s daughter was playing golf, and she was seen hitting a shot with her little hand, dressed in a blue tracksuit.

While Olivia might not be into tennis, looking at the video, it won’t be wrong to say that she is definitely into golf. In the same way, if you are an Olympic fan, you would know how the eldest daughter of Serena Williams is quite into playing golf every now and then.

Nevertheless, looking into the common aspect, other than their mothers, it is golf that might be a common forte between the two. Moreover, just a few days ago, the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s husband shared a little insight into her daughter’s obsession with the sport.

Williams’ 6-year-old daughter expressed interest in forging her own path, despite having a tennis legend as a mother and a business entrepreneur as a father. She is often seen playing golf, and just a few days ago, Alexis Ohanian took to his Twitter account to share how his daughter is quite obsessed with the sport.

He shared a picture of Olympia, who was quite into the sport, while she went out with her father to play golf. Along with that, the 40-year-old American entrepreneur also highlighted how she is better than him while he is trying to catch up with her with his daughter’s golf skills. However, looking at the way, just like the way Williams and Wozniacki were obsessed with tennis, their daughters are into golf.

In a buildup to his upcoming bout with Otto Wallin in Riyadh on December 23, Anthony Joshua‘s feud with fellow boxer Deontay Wilder remains a hot topic. Both are set to feature on the same DAZN card. There’s anticipation for a 2024 clash between Joshua and Wilder. Their history is marred by failed negotiations. However, at the moment, another rivalry is becoming the talk of the town.

Their rivalry was evident at the London press event for the December 23 Day of Reckoning event. A face-off between them was electric, hinting at the intensity of a potential future fight. However, the one who stole the show with his trash talk was none other than Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller, who is set to face Daniel Dubois as the undercard for the event. It seems Big Baby is at it and this time against AJ. A video of the two of them going off at one another at a Saudi Hotel is going viral and for all the right reasons.

Their rivalry was evident at the London press event for the December 23 Day of Reckoning event. A face-off between them was electric, hinting at the intensity of a potential future fight. It seems Big Baby is at it and this time against AJ. A video of the two of them going off at one another at a Saudi Hotel is going viral and for all the right reasons.

Their verbal sparring didn’t end there. Joshua emphasized his track record, challenging Miller with, “Look at my record, who have I ducked?”. Miller, not one to back down, mentioned Joshua’s surprise loss to Andy Ruiz Jr., suggesting he could do the same. But Joshua remained unfazed, asserting his superiority: “I’m on a different level to you.”, causing Miller to reply, “You’re still a b***h.”

The two were then separated by their respective teams and the security staff. As he went out, AJ tried to get in a few last words. “Me and you are not on the same level, and where you are in your career, I don’t need to fight you. I’m hosting you. Welcome to my show. Welcome to my show, little b****. You’re working for me on Saturday night! Humble yourself. I’m still your landlord, don’t forget that,” declared AJ, while Big Baby kept hurling curses at him.

The upcoming fight card promises more excitement with heavyweight matchups like Deontay Wilder vs. Joseph Parker. But all eyes will be on the renewed animosity between Joshua and Miller. As the saying goes, old rivalries die hard.

In April 2019, the boxing world was thrown into disarray when Jarrell Miller was pulled from his fight against Anthony Joshua. This was a significant blow, especially for Matchroom Boxing and DAZN, who had vested interests in Joshua’s U.S. debut. Miller’s positive drug tests, including for GW501516 and EPO, were the culprits.

Reflecting on an interview with Miller, he confidently stated, “I’ll stop AJ inside seven rounds.” However, it was all for naught and the bout was canceled. Stepping into the void left by Miller was Andy Ruiz. Ruiz’s relentless pressure led to Joshua’s downfall, and although their rematch six months later saw Joshua reclaim his titles with a more strategic approach, things were never the same for AJ. Meanwhile, for Big Baby, despite a subsequent six-month ban by the WBA after testing positive again, his return in 2022 was lackluster, with victories over lesser opponents.

Predictions often stir as much excitement as the fights themselves. Prominent boxing promoter Bob Arum has made a bold statement, one that challenges the current hierarchy of the lightweight division. Imagine, three fighters, each uniquely skilled, poised to dethrone the reigning champion, Gervonta Davis.

This isn’t just speculation; it’s a seasoned promoter’s calculated opinion. Arum’s reputation for identifying talent adds weight to his words. Yet, the boxing community remains divided. Who are these fighters and can these three fighters truly outmatch Davis?

Amidst swirling rumors of a potential showdown with Devin Haney, the boxing world received a compelling insight from Bob Arum. Known for his keen eye in the sport, Arum’s conversation with Fight Hub TV captured the essence of his belief in a few concise words: “All three, I think would beat Davis. I really believe that. I think Shakur beats him, I think Teofimo beats him, and I think Lomachenko beats him.” This statement, coming from a figure of Arum’s stature, immediately steered the conversation toward an intriguing possibility.

His selection of Shakur StevensonTeofimo Lopez, and Vasyl Lomachenko as Davis’ potential conquerors isn’t just a random pick. Arum’s assertion gains further momentum considering the current landscape.

Haney, fresh off his victory over Regis Prograis and eyeing a larger prize, finds himself at the center of speculation for a face-off with Gervonta Davis. This potential matchup has been a topic of hot discussion, fueled by their recent social media exchanges and public call-outs. Let’s now see what Davis’ stance is on the Devin Haney fight.

Hearn sheds light on the stalled Haney negotiations

In a recent turn of events surrounding the much-anticipated fight between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney, promoter Eddie Hearn disclosed some crucial details. Addressing the media, Hearn reflected on his attempt to initiate discussions for the high-profile bout. “I would like to start conversations for the Devin Haney-Gervonta Davis fight. So I just texted him and said, ‘Let’s talk,’ and he said ‘no,’” Hearn revealed.

This reluctance from Davis to engage in talks raises questions about his interest in the matchup. Hearn speculated, “I don’t think he’s very interested in a Devin Haney fight but who knows?” Adding to the intrigue, Haney’s camp, represented by his father Bill, claimed they offered Davis a substantial $20 million for the fight, which Davis allegedly turned down.

As the boxing community watches these developments, the question arises: Will the reluctance from Davis’ side eventually give way to a historic clash in the ring, or will this anticipated matchup remain an elusive dream for fight fans? What are your thoughts on this ongoing saga? Do you believe we will see Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney face off in the near future?

Imagine, a world-famous boxer’s household, grappling with a void. Floyd Mayweather’s home is no stranger to the spotlight, yet a recent social media post by his daughter, Iyanna, reveals a different kind of battle – one fought in the quiet corners of the heart. Iyanna’s poignant tribute to Kitchie Marikit Laurico, the family’s late assistant, offers a glimpse into a private sorrow.

In a world where celebrities’ lives seem perpetually under a lens, this moment of raw, unfiltered grief stands out. What could a daughter of such a prominent figure possibly share that resonates with the pain of losing a family pillar?

Kitchie Marikit Laurico’s untimely demise earlier this year sent ripples of sorrow through the Mayweather family. A trusted aide and more like a family member, her absence has left an indelible mark. In a touching gesture, Iyanna Mayweather, Floyd’s daughter, recently took to Instagram to share her feelings. Her story featured an old post with Kitchie, accompanied by a heartfelt message. “Happy heavenly birthday Kitchie. It’s not the same without you. I miss and love you so much!“ she wrote, succinctly capturing her ongoing grief. In the next story, she posted a video of Kentrell Gaulden Jr., her son with NBA YoungBoy, sitting playfully in Kitchie’s lap, where they are both supposedly taking a selfie.

The tragedy of Kitchie’s passing is not just in its suddenness, but in the void it created. She was not merely an employee; she was a pillar in the Mayweather household. Her role transcended the boundaries of a typical assistant. Kitchie’s death, in a car accident, while on her way to pick up Mayweather from the airport, was a blow to everyone close to her. Iyanna’s post poignantly reflects this sentiment, revealing how deeply Kitchie’s absence is felt in their daily lives. A similar expression of loss was shared by Floyd’s baby momma.

In a heartfelt Instagram story, Melissa Brim, Floyd Mayweather’s former partner, and Iyanna’s mother, penned an emotional tribute to Kitchie, illuminating the depth of her impact on their lives. Brim fondly recalled Kitchie’s unique trait, stating, “ONE THING ABOUT KITCHIE SHE KNEW EVERYONE’S birthday…” She shared how Kitchie’s social media posts were a reminder for her to send birthday wishes.

Brim’s words, “I miss her beautiful face, that contagious laugh & smile,” vividly brought Kitchie’s memory to life. She reminisced how Kitchie always uplifted her, saying, even if she looked like “a mess,” Kitchie was there to compliment her. In a touching conclusion, Brim added, “Love you kitchie & i know you’re dancing in heaven right now,” encapsulating her enduring love and the void Kitchie’s absence has created.

Anthony Joshua has been going through some stuff! He has swapped his coaches like he is in a clothing store. Given the fact that ‘AJ’ and Deontay Wilder have a deal in place for a fight on 9 March, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ expressed his thoughts on Joshua’s habit of changing trainers. The whole trainer-swapping business began after his first loss against Oleksandr Usyk.

After the loss, Joshua felt the need to switch things up with his trainer. He opted for Robert Garcia while bidding adieu to Rob McCracken. Despite training under Garcia, ‘AJ’ could not change the result against ‘The Cat’ in the following year. So, in 2022, Joshua recast his trainer’s role again, this time for Houston’s Derrick James. Not so long ago, rumors of Joshua switching things up again started circulating, prompting a response from Wilder.

While appearing in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, Wilder suggested he has no idea what’s going on with Joshua. Meanwhile, he claimed Joshua has to figure out his next steps on his own. “I don’t know, that’s really going to be up to him, you know, to figure out his own game plan and how he’s going to be able to bounce back after fighting southpaws and come back,” said Wilder.

He asserted that it would be Joshua’s fourth trainer while hoping Joshua knew what he was doing. “I mean, this is his fourth trainer. He didn’t… Switched up with… so hopefully they have the answers to that because I definitely don’t,” said Wilder. He concluded by confessing, “All I could do is wish him the best and nothing less.” However, the rumors of Joshua changing trainers again are false.

Off late, there were talks of Joshua leaving Derrick James for Ben Davidson. However, as it turns out, the rumors aren’t exactly true. According to a tweet from a reporter, Chris Mannix, Joshua hasn’t changed trainers. Rather, he was getting some extra training done with Ben Davidson before the next fight announcement.

“Told that two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has not switched trainers. Joshua has been working with other trainers, reportedly including@BenDavison_, while in the UK, but the plan remains to return to the U.S. and continues training with Derrick James, likely when there is clarity on his next fight,” wrote Mannix.

Devin Haney changed the public opinion around him with his convincing victory over Regis Prograis. Interestingly, team Haney has locked their sights on a potential fight with Gervonta Davis. Ever since Haney’s call out in the post-fight interview, the two have been going back and forth on social media. However, it seems that the fight may not see the light of day now.

Recently, Bill Haney, in a video, claimed that Davis had turned down an offer for a whopping $20 million. This led to Davis criticizing Haney’s camp, stating, “These n***as is p***y. If they wanna make the fight happen, tell them they know who to call. They’re broke.” Even Leonard Ellerbe took to Twitter to fire shots at Haney. But a recent statement from Eddie Hearn hints that the fight might not happen.

In an interview with FightHub.com Eddie Hearn discussed the authenticity of Bill Haney’s claims of Davis turning down the huge opportunity. He revealed, “I mean we wanna speak to Gervonta Davis. I reached out to him because we got huge offers for him, Bill knows those numbers and we got offers around the world to stage that fight. Unfortunately, Gervonta didn’t want to discuss them, but we’ll move on and see what’s next. Hopefully, that fight can get made in the future.”

According to Hearn, the lightweight champion is not interested in a fight against Haney for now. However, he wants to keep the doors open for a future fight as well. It seems that the fight may not take place for now, much to the disappointment of fans. Interestingly, this allowed Davis’ old rival a chance to land shots at him.

Ryan Garcia receives shots from both Davis and Haney

Earlier this year, Davis came out victorious against Ryan Garcia in one of the biggest fights this year. Even though the two didn’t do a rematch, the rivalry remains. Garcia recently took to Twitter stating, “Tank will not fight you without the clauses!” Davis immediately hit back, writing, “Do you want me to beat ya a** again..Becuz it was easier than taking candy from baby g.”

However, Garcia deleted the tweet later, which caused Haney to criticize him once again. It seems that both Davis and Haney have already started looking at other potential fights. For now, fans will have to see how the situation develops further.

Despite their high-profile exhibition match which concluded two years ago, Logan Paul‘s relationship with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is not amicable. The YouTube star went the distance with Mayweather. Although, it was a scoreless exhibition bout at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Moreover, Paul stated that he has yet to receive the full payment owed to him for the event. The issue has been raised by Logan Paul on a lot of occasions, and one such moment came again on his podcast ‘Impaulsive’. In a recent episode, he revealed that he still hasn’t been paid for his exhibition bout against Mayweather.

A teenage girl who has garnered over 900k followers on her social media, Jazzy was invited to Paul’s podcast not long ago. In that episode, she shared her experience as a little girl interviewing Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj. Amid such conversations, the internet sensation asks the Youtuber-turned-prizefighter what made him agree to fight ‘Money’.

To this, Paul said, “I knew that if I was able to fight Floyd Mayweather and not get knocked out, it would change the course of my life forever. My support system was strong and I had a lot of people reach out and tell me, ‘You’re gonna win.’” Then, Jazzy gave a shoutout to the boxing legend, and Paul steered the conversation to the unpaid money controversy.

He said, “Yeah, pay me my f***ing money. He owes me $1.5 million, tell ’em. No, stay out of it.” As it turns out, Mayweather still hasn’t paid the Youtuber his money. And allegedly as per recent developments, he’s rejected the fight offer from Paul’s brother Jake Paul as well.

Mayweather doesn’t want to associate with the Paul brothers

In the aftermath of his recent victory against Andre AugustJake Paul has allegedly disclosed that Floyd Mayweather has declined his offer for a future fight. This revelation comes as a notable development, especially considering Mayweather’s previous engagement with Logan Paul. Despite the precedent set by Logan’s bout, Jake Paul’s claim suggests a different outcome this time.

In the recent post made on X by Happy Punch Promotions, Paul’s actual statements were revealed. He stated, “We tried to make the Floyd fight happen, he ducked it.” Well, the reason could also be tied to the infamous altercation between Mayweather and Paul back in March 2023, after the Miami Heat game.

Many thought that this could be the build-up to the potential fight in the future, however, nothing of that sort happened after their feud. Things got toned down with time. But the fans are still in hope of their showdown in the ring one day.
