Simone Biles has once again ascended the gymnastic throne after a brief respite from her queenly duties. Her renewed coronation is scheduled for 2024 when she will firmly repose her status as the de facto queen regnant. However, the fanfare from her impending grand ascension cannot eclipse the gloomy past in the gymnast’s life. But, in typical fairy tale fashion, her knight in shining armor was there to rescue her from the malevolent demons.

Simone Biles suffered the career-ending “Twisties” at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. She put on a brave face as she announced her withdrawal from the competition and hid the emotional turbulence brewing within her heart. Now, her husband and constant partner in agony and joy, Jonathan Owens, broke his silence to reveal the tough times in the athlete’s life.

Simone Biles was taken aback when the “Twisties” suddenly took over her cognitive acuity. However, a grave tragedy was averted when she landed on her feet despite losing all sense of physical orientation in mid-air. This was possible because of her years of rigorous training that has developed muscle memory. However, she could not rely on her body to act on its own accord during all of her subsequent routines. Therefore, she decided to go on a long hiatus and only made a comeback in 2023. However, the time in between was particularly harsh for the seven-time Olympic medalist, as retold by Jonathan Owens. During his appearance on ‘The Pivot Podcast,’ the NFL legend said, “being around her and just seeing like, we might be in the bed and she might just start crying”.

The trauma of unfulfilled ambitions was too much for Simone Biles to bear. Jonathan Owens suggested she take a few years off in order to decompress and focus on her mental well-being. Cut to 2023, and Simone Biles is again at the top of her game, but the fears of the past are far from allayed.

Simone Biles’ lingering fears

The fearful echoes of the previous Olympic Games continue to haunt Simone Biles in the present. As the newest iteration of the Games draws closer, she could not help but delve into a bit of retrospection. Biles said, “Although I freak out a little at the beginning of every Olympic cycle, I’ll have to remind myself that I’m fine when the clock hits 2024”.

This statement of confidence stemmed not just from the achievements she has already attained, but also from Jonathan Owens. As a form of tribute to him for his incredible support, she will be championing mental health as she guns for the all-around title in Paris next year.

In the sports industry, athlete branding has always been greatly influenced by endorsements. The most decorated gymnast in history, Simone Biles, has made a big impact in this field by emphasizing authenticity and standing by companies that share her values. Notably, she decided to break away from the multinational behemoth Nike in favor of a regional brand that was gaining traction in the market.

The seven-time Olympian unexpectedly disclosed about giving up gymnastics entirely in an interview earlier this week. But in the middle of thinking about her career, Biles finds herself taking on exciting new responsibilities.

Biles often addresses issues of mental health, body image, and the value of individuality which has reverberated far beyond the mats. In 2021, she ditched Nike for Athleta, Gap Inc.’s athletic apparel brand. Biles took to her Instagram to announce her recent collab with Athleta in an Instagram post. She captioned the fun video, “Making magic happen on set with Athleta. For me, this holiday season is all about embracing the moment with looks that let me stay on point and present.”

The video showed the happy-go-lucky side of Biles in different gym-wear sets while she posed in each one. Her husband Jonathan Owens who is currently playing in NFL dropped few heart eyes emoji showing his unwavering support for Biles. Earlier this week Simone told People: “This campaign is so special because it focuses on me as a person and not just as an athlete.”

The Olympics gold medalist added, Ever since I joined forces with Athleta back in 2021, it has been incredibly meaningful.” Rather than sharing why she left Nike, Biles was all praises about her new brand in 2021 saying, I admire Athleta for their commitment to recognize and support women’s individual and collective strength and, together.” And in the recent interview the gymnast had some career-related revelations which shocked the community.

As she discussed her incredible accomplishment of 37 Worlds and Olympic titles with PEOPLE, Biles said, “It honestly feels amazing to return to competition, I never thought I would compete again so this is a blessing.” The gymnast continued by recalling fond memories and said, “My favorite moment has been competing alongside my WCC teammates.”

Then speaking about the newest collection drop by Athleta she pointed her preference saying: “You want to enjoy the moment and not be distracted by your outfit. I love dressing in something I know and love, and then accessorizing it with new pieces to give it a new lease on life” she continued. With a thoughtfully curated drop with her vision, Biles continue to show what truly makes her the G.O.A.T both on and off mats.

Serena Williams and Simona Halep’s’ rivalry goes long back. It was because of Simona Halep that Serena Williams was not able to win her 8 Wimbledon title as Halep defeated her. Even then Williams raised the concern around drug testing being focused only on her and not Halep. And recently when Halep was convicted for using a banned substance and asked to stay out of the sport, Williams made sure to have her moment of sweet revenge.

However, Simona Halep tried her best not to acknowledge it or even mention or react to it. In fact, in a recent interview, she was asked about any negative message she has received from others, especially Serena Williams.

Simona Halep has been out of the game for more than a year now due to doping allegations on her. Despite constantly explaining herself, the allegation continues to exist and she has not been allowed back in the sport. Since Halep was the reason Serena Williams could not win her 8 Wimbledon title, she added a comment after the 4-year ban on Halep was announced. It said, “8 is a better number”.

After this, Halep was asked about the negativity she had received from anyone during this time. In her answer, she refused to acknowledge what Williams had posted for her. Instead, she only focused on the positive aspects. She said, “I never faced a person who told me something negative. So, all of them were positive and this gave me the strength to keep fighting every day, to clear my name, and to show that I didn’t do anything wrong. The players who are opponents also showed their support and I appreciate it because it means a lot.

She went on saying: “We are fighting in court, and when you are in the worst situation, they are there to support you. Also, the legends, I had a big support from legends in tennis and they were also publicly speaking about me.”

However, before this recent interview, before as well Halep was asked directly if she had seen Serena Williams’ post on her. And once again in her answer, she denied coming across it at all.

In September, Simona Halep was in an interview where she was directly asked about the comment Serena Williams made about her after the ban was announced. She answered that she had not come across this particular tweet and she did not know anything about it. After that, she also said that even if Williams said something like that, she understood why she said it.

Halep mentioned that the reaction is because of the decision around the sport referring to the match between them and also her being banned due to doping. So, she was not too worried or affected by it as she shared in the interview.

She further mentioned, “I need to stay healthy. It’s emotional [being on the tennis court]. When you are drained emotionally, you can get hurt physically.”

It’s really commendable how Halep has composed herself in spite of all the ongoing tugging and pulling around her. As we can see, no matter what her focus is Tennis which is pretty tough given the situation she is in. But, she has done it!

At MetLife Stadium, the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers were playing on a typical NFL Monday night. The Giants prevailed, but instead of being the main topic of conversation, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles caused a social media storm. It all happened after the 26-year-old posted her game-day outfit on Instagram which resulted in many of her fans making pregnancy-related assumptions.

At the game to support her husband and Packers safety Jonathan Owens, Biles was furious with the responses. Taking a moment to glance at the previous times when the gymnast was put on similar spots.

After one of the most thrilling nights, while core sports fanatics were busy picking nooks on Giants Vs Packers others applauded Biles for her wardrobe choices. However, a few went too far by focusing on her stomach in the body-hugging brown jumpsuit and an adorable beanie bearing  Owens’ jersey number. She completed the look with an oversized army jacket which was merely highlighting her abs since Biles seemed to liked those comments.

After the carousel of photos gained much attention, Simone took to her Instagram story saying, I am not pregnant.” Many fans called out the false pregnancy commenters and some of them were liked by Simone among which one read: “She is not pregnant! So rude to assume without knowing. This woman has like a damn 12 pack that’s what you’re seeing. She’s also competing in the 2024 Olympics so no she’s not pregnant!

Any remaining questions regarding Biles’s pregnancy was answered by her clear-cut and unequivocal denial. It serves as a reminder of how crucial it is to be mindful of people’s privacy, even in the era of social media. It also highlights the difficulties that public figures have when their private lives are precluded turning attention to an irrelevant stir. However, the beloved couple are going strong for now and have shown desire to have kids in the future.

When Biles did the babies talk

A while back, Biles took some time to have a ‘ask me anything’ session with her 7.1M Instagram followers. One question in particular stood out among the others: “Do you want kids, and if so, how many?” With characteristic accuracy, Biles answered in the affirmative, “Yes, we want kids.”

Two, in my opinion, and three, according to Jonathan, is the ideal number“. She added a humorous touch by saying, “I don’t want to be outnumbered lolz.”

The gymnast showed her appreciation for her fans’ curiosity by politely answering a wide range of their inquiries.  The Owens, who have been in the spotlight their entire professional lives quite regularly provide their fans with updates on social media, hence, it’s only obvious to be being angered over a false speculation.

Simone Biles became the most decorated gymnast in history at 26 after much criticized Tokyo Olympics appearance. Upon her return, the national champion returned to the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. The 7-time Olympian not only continued her winning streak but also created history by being the first female to perform and have the Yurchenko double pike vault named after her.

Despite an astounding 30 medals from world championships and seven from the Olympics, she finds balance in her personal life. Recently, on her seasonal break, she spent some quality time spending moments with her NFL player husband Jonathan Owens.

During a recent interview on ‘Chill Chat’ by Bustle, Simone discussed everything from wellness to cherished traditions with her spouse. When the host asked Simone about her recovery techniques, she surprised everyone by revealing: My husband and I got a cold tub for our backyard. I haven’t done a cold plunge yet, but once he gets back to Houston, we’re going to get it set up.

Her commitment to gymnastics can be easily understood in the regime update—training six to seven hours a day, seven days a week, with Sundays off. In addition, she gets some bodywork done like massages, acupuncture needles, KT Tape. And I like to soak in a hot tub,” said the gymnast. When asked to decide between yoga and Pilates she disclosed having tried Pilates three times with Owens, who is a big proponent of the exercise.

Finally, when asked about how the “wind down at the end of the day” looks like; Biles said she takes her dogs Lilo and Rambo outside for an hour to play fetch with them. She added, I also FaceTime my husband, and then I’ll catch up on YouTube videos or podcasts.” While there’s another heartfelt tradition the beloved athletic couple follow which makes the world turn wishful to have a bond like theirs.

The distance between Simone and Jonathan hasn’t cooled the spark of their love after their wedding, which signaled the start of their separate professional journeys—Jonathan signing with the Green Bay Packers and Simone getting ready for her gymnastics comeback. The strong bond only turned to social media cheering and Biles frequent visits as hefty deductions bound Owens.

In fact, Simone boarded a plane to be by her husband’s side after serving as a bridesmaid at her best friend Rachel Moore’s bachelorette party highlights the strength of their relationship. Simone’s actions are indicative of the tradition and continue to live up to the standard the Owens have set which only overrides the previous one with time!

Simone Biles now owns the title of being the most decorated gymnast in gymnastics history. After a two-year break, her victorious comeback showed her unmatched skill and resolve in addition to solidifying her status. However, a recent buzz points to Biles’s comeback as a calculative decision made by her WCC coach rather than a deliberate move on her part.

The Olympic gold medalist is taking her time off mats as the Summer Olympics’ appearance is still eight months away. Amid the holiday season break, a recent update by the athletics body highlighted her unplanned return.

When a brief excerpt of Biles’ confession appeared on Twitter(X) through the Olympics account, the unexpected revelation began to gain traction. The snippet offered an insight into Simone’s mind following the U.S. Core Classic, implying the tacit understanding between her coach and herself that ultimately resulted in her going back to competitive gymnastics.

She said, “I really feel like Laurent is always one step ahead of me so every time I would come into the gym he’s like okay so I have some set routines for you and I’m like what I’m literally just trying to get in shape.” The video was captioned, A return worth waiting for! Seven-time Olympic medallist  @Simone_Biles broke down her return to competition after a spectacular debut at the U.S. Classic in August!

After a late June announcement, Biles put up a flawless performance on August 5, earning an all-around score of 59.100, which left reigning champion Leanne Wong trail by five points. Her dominance was evident as she won first place in the floor exercise and balance beam. Her fearless approach was further clear by the inclusion of a Yurchenko double pike.

In September, Biles went to the U.S. women’s selection camp for the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships extending her return winning streak while her coach extended her praise for another WCC gymnast. Her incredible achievement resulted in five medals – four gold and one silver, across six events.

She also became the only gymnast to ever win the all-around title six times, joining the elite ranks of Kōhei Uchimura and the first gymnast to secure a total of 30 podium finishes in the Worlds. The triumphant comeback fueled her fans with excitement over the 2024 Paris Olympics return with the hope of extending her illustrious win collection.

The most decorated gymnast in the world, Simone Biles, has not only captivated audiences with her incredible routines that defy gravity but has also cemented her status as an all-around champion. There’s another aspect of Simone that’s worth admiring besides her physical prowess— her love for dogs.

As she is taking a break from competitive gymnastics after a victorious comeback, Biles has accepted a new role. Known for staying outspoken, she continues to provide advice off the mat.

If you know Biles, you know she adores her Frenchies but did you also know they have an Instagram account(@thebilesfrenchies) with over 75K followers? Keeping her fur babies’ health in check, Biles shared a reel on her Instagram partnering with @nulopetfood. The caption read, “When you want the best for your pets, you only get the best with Nulo!“

Speaking about the dog food brand, Biles said, “Pets rely on us to make the best decisions for their health and happiness, including what we choose to put into their bowl every day. As an athlete, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of fueling my body with the right nutrition, and I feel the same way when it comes to feeding my dogs @thebilesfrenchies.”

Lilo is 6 years old while Rambo is 3 years old. This year alone, their shenanigans have amused the internet including Biles giving in to their new mischiefs now and then. And despite all the troubles, she once said, “My dogs have made my life better significantly.”

Even though Simone isn’t much of a chef, she told NBC that she often finds herself in the kitchen making food for her dogs. She regrets not having learned to cook when she was younger as she reheats a mixture of meat and vegetables to pour over their dry food. “Who cooks for their dogs?” she asked in a lighthearted manner highlighting her love for the fur babies.

Simone always has funny stories to tell about her dogs when she’s by herself in Texas. The fact that even elite gymnasts schedules time to spend with their dear companions at the end of the day is heartwarming, to say the least.

Simone Biles has not been on an Olympic stage since the 2020-21 Tokyo Olympics. But that will all change in a few months from now. Simone Biles will gear up to potentially claim her 8th Olympic gymnastics medal or more at the 2024 Paris Olympics, commencing from July 27 to August 5, 2024.

The hype is real, and fans can’t wait to see her do exceptionally well like she did this year. Amid the Olympic anticipation, the comeback of the seven-time Olympic medalist this year, however, drew the spotlight once again.

In a recent post on Instagram by USA Gymnastics, they shared an eight-image carousel post of the December issue of the USAG”. The caption of the post read, “Now reading 📖 and the post featured gymnastics stars from Team USA gymnastics, including Yul Moldauer, Khoi Young, Ruben Padilla, and others who participated in the World Artistic Gymnastics in Antwerp.

But what stood out was the first slide that featured The Gymnastics GOAT under the headline “COMEBACK OF THE YEAR. This took gymnastics fans on a nostalgic trip to the incredible year Simone Biles had, clinching victory after victory and becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time.

In 2023, Simone Biles vaulted her way back to glory, both on US soil and internationally. Right from the Core Hydration Classic to the 2023 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships to the Worlds and Pan Am Games Selection Camp, she made it to each podium and clinched gold.

At the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, she brought home not one but four gold medals and one silver medal for the vault, making her country proud. If that’s not all, she even added Biles II on Vault to the FIG Code of Points.

Whether in her personal life or gymnastics career, 2023 proved to be a monumental year for Biles, who, with time and age, has only gotten better. As the Paris Olympics 2024 are soon approaching, fans can’t wait for the queen to taste Olympic glory once more.

Age is just a number for 26-year-old Simone Biles, as she made history by becoming the oldest woman to clinch victory at the U.S. gymnastics championships this year. Yet, despite this, a moment came up where Biles recalled her age in a surprising and nostalgic reunion with her past.

More recently, Simone Biles expressed support on Instagram for Nico Collins who is  Jonathan Owens a former teammate and friend of Sam Royy. Both Owens and Royy have connections with Nico Collins, who plays for the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL). In a breakout game against the Broncos, Houston Texans’ receiver Nico Collins shines with nine catches for 191 yards, setting career highs and highlighting his Pro Bowl-worthy season. As Pro Bowl voting is on Biles shared the post with the caption, “Go vote for my bestie girls man. Jonathan played with him in Texas. Love them!” This voting was for Nico.

The 2023 voting for the Pro Bowl was on which is an annual selection process in the National Football League (NFL) in which fans, peers/players, and coaches select top performers to play in a Pro Bowl game. The rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud came in second place with the most NFL player vote selections after Tua Tagovailoa who was finally voted the winner. But besides all this Simone Biles stood for his Husband’s former teammate which shows true sportsmanship. However, Simone is also among the highest paid atheletes.

Sportico ranked Simone Biles as #9 among highest paid female athletes (she earned $8.5M) while Coco Guff earned $22.7M and this showed that she outwitted the former. Despite being declared the greatest Olympic gymnast ever, Biles’ achievements will continue to propel her net worth estimated at about 16 million dollars by Celebrity Net Worth. Her large following in social media have helped her work with some popular companies like GK Elite, Athleta, MasterClass, and Nulo among others, year after year.

Embracing Athleta in 2021, Biles praised the brand by saying, “I feel like they also support me, not just as an athlete, but just as an individual outside of the gym and the change that I want to create, which is so refreshing. She further added, “Now that I’m older and kind of in the world a little bit more, I see and I know and I learn and I grow from things, so to partner with Athleta, I think they stand for everything that I stand for.”
