Baltimore native Gervonta Davis will return to action after a more than 15-month hiatus following his match with Ryan Garcia. ‘Tank’ is slated to square off against Frank Martin within days. Both boxers have perfect records and have never lost a fight in their professional careers. Ahead of their showdown on June 15th, there is a lot of buzz among fans surrounding the contest.

Davis has recently stirred up a conversation online as he set a particular round to knock out Martin. ‘Tank’ is one of the finest lightweight boxers of today’s generation, with a 29-0 record, and an astonishing 27 knockout victory count. But it takes something else to predict the knockout round of your opponent days before the fight. It requires the genius of Muhammad Ali.

Former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali was notorious for foreseeing his opponent’s knockout round before the fight. He was really accurate about it. Similarly to the legendary boxer, ‘Tank’ also predicted Martin’s knockout round.

Recently, Davis took to X and just wrote, “9!!”. Boxing fans quickly understood the boxer had mentioned the round when he would send Martin to sleep. Interestingly, this knockout saga has a twist in between.

During several interviews leading up to the fight day, both boxers asserted they were ending the bout through a knockout. Not too long ago, Martin was asked if he still stands by his words, and he said“Yeah, you know like, Tank can be knocked out. You know, he ain’t exempt from getting knocked out. So if he getting there, act up, he gonna run into something. Or I might go get him.”

Both men sound confident to end the clash via knockout. Amidst this banter between the two, Ryan Garcia has also stepped in to give his verdict on the subject.

Ryan Garcia came off a spectacular victory against Devin Haney in April. It is still unclear, though, who won the fight as Garcia tested positive for using a banned performance-enhancing drug. However, it is still being looked at. So, for the time being, Garcia can consider it a win. Moving on, he even took to his X account and predicted who would get knocked out between Davis and Martin.

‘King Ryan’ wrote in a post, “I will bet 1 million that Gervonta will KO frank martin within 7 rounds I love frank but the truth is the truth”. Garcia also seized this opportunity to challenge Errol Spence Jr. for a battle. Coming back to the topic, Garcia believes Tank’s powerful blow would put Martin to sleep on the ground. Although Tank is the betting favorite, Martin has never been defeated in his professional career, and has an 18-0 record, with 12 knockouts. So, the fight can go either way.

The stage is set for the June 15th clash at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. American fans can also stream the fight on Amazon Prime PPV.

Watford native Anthony Joshua has experienced his fair share of ups and downs in his boxing career over the past few years. However, the former world champion bounces back to face new challenges again. He has been performing exceptionally and has won his last four bouts. As he was gearing up for his next fight, disappointing news came up, which might dishearten his fans.

Matchroom Boxing boss and AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn is still getting over his loss to fellow promoter Frank Warren. However, he didn’t forget his role as a promoter as he was recently answering questions about how he plans to orchestrate a fight for AJ.

Eddie Hearn has 3 potential opponents for Anthony Joshua

The recent 5 vs 5 battle between Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry has cleared a lot of air about the matchups in the heavyweight division. A lot of things have become clear for AJ. The Brit was rumored to fight Deontay Wilder first. However, with Wilder’s recent loss to Zhilei Zhang, that prospect seems out of the question.

Of late, the heavyweight division of boxing has drawn a lot of interest from fans because of the world-class fights that happened in the recent past. Fans are a little down, though, since they were hoping to see their favorite fighter step inside the squared circle soon but there has been no word on when AJ will fight next. The Matchroom Boxing boss stated that as of now, there is nothing confirmed for Joshua in September. He further added, “Who the opponent will be is undecided. You’ve got Zhilei Zhang which is a great fight. He’s a WBO interim world champion. You’ve got Daniel Dubois, now the IBF interim heavyweight champion. Another great fight, especially for British boxing. You’ve got Joseph Parker who is on a great run.”

His promoter has given a few hints regarding the boxer’s next opponent. With some great options for the boxer, it is still undecided who he will fight next. British fans have been long anticipating an all-British fight though. Luckily, Greenwich, UK native Daniel Dubois has become the interim IBF heavyweight champion, and there is a high chance that he might face AJ in September. But the athlete doesn’t feel good when he is not inside the ring.

AJ feels a break is no good

The 34-year-old boxer is gearing up for his next bout, which is slated to take place at the Wembley Stadium in September. However, he wanted to appear on the Matchroom vs Queensberry card, as he feels a rest does no good. AJ was last seen inside the ring in March when he defeated former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Boxing fans are eager to see him back in action again.

While talking to BOXINGSCENE, he explained, “A rest ain’t good. Get out, get active. We’re young, we keep firing away. But, unfortunately, I didn’t get this opportunity. They’re talking about September 21 [for my next fight], so in the back of my mind I’m getting ready.”

Joshua’s fans are well aware that he is always training irrespective of whether there’s a fight scheduled or not. His Instagram is full of posts where he is either seen practicing or working out, sometimes even cutting a tree with an axe for that matter.

The boxer can give his fans a few more great fights as he might hang his gloves in a few years. All three opponents will make a great match-up with Anthony Joshua. Only time will tell who he fights next.

Popstroke is miniature golf that entertains family-oriented golf along with promoting local breweries and thus includes food and beverages consistently. A former Wall Street executive at JP Morgan and later turned entrepreneur, Greg Bartoli, first opened a PopStroke in Port St. Lucie, Florida, back in 2019. Ever since then, this new venture towards a bridging point between professional golf’s innovation and the leisure of a pastime has brought forward the success of PopStroke. Only a year later, Tiger Woods whose present net worth is around $1.3 billion joined the team as an investor.

Other than his 82 PGA Tour wins, Tiger Woods has also created a legacy, off the course. He has many business ventures such as restaurants,  sports bars (T-squared), TGR Designs, and TGL. The 15x major winner’s design company, TGR Designs, has designed 8 PopStrokes locations. This includes Scottsdale, Arizona; Orlando (Waterford Lakes), Port St. Lucie, Houston, Tampa, Fort Myers, Glendale, and Sarasota.

However, as an investor, Tiger Woods can be considered the owner of all 13 PopStrokes that exist as of now. Other than the eight locations he has designed, PopStrokes are also located in Tuscaloosa, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, Delray Beach, and Dallas + The Colony.

With the motto “Eat, Putt, Drink,” PopStrokes strives towards building a niche of golf that will be both enjoyable and challenging at the same time for golfers of all ages. With that vision in mind, it exhibits “synthetic turf greens, mounding, bunkers, and rough that are higher versions of the turf and a different color,” according to On the Greens Magazine.

Upcoming Pop Strokes in College Markets

Tiger Woods shared on his X handle back in 2023 that there might be an increase of 13 new locations for PopStrokes. The founder, Greg Bartoli, stated, “We are seeing huge consumer demand to bring our immersive experience into new cities.”

To attend to that public demand, PopStrokes will be attempting to increase its reach in the college market. According to The Eagle, the PopStrokes team is trying to plan a strategic design for college markets. They have mentioned how joining the universities as partners for PopStrokes will be a success. They said, “As we go around the country, College Station quickly rises to the top of that list of places to review. Universities make a great partner, and they made it clear early on they were interested in us being here.”

An endeavor like that of PopStrokes aims to bridge the gap between professional and leisure golf making it more accessible for anyone who wishes to enjoy it casually.

Former world’s number one Serena Williams‘s “god ferie” took an adventurous turn. Currently holidaying in Europe, Williams delighted her fans by sharing snippets of her family time on social media. From visiting candy stores to managing romantic date nights with her hubby, Serena has been dropping vacation goals for the past few days. Amid everything, Williams didn’t forget to continue her tradition with Olympia as they test their fears in a new way!

A reliable fan page of Serena Williams recently took their Instagram profile to share an adorable video of the former Olympic gold-medalist WTA star with her daughter in Denmark. The adorable mommy-daughter duo took a fun roller-coaster ride in Denmark’s Legoland and delighted their fans’ hearts with their cute expressions, “Yohoo” and “Oh my god.” The video was captured by Williams and shared on her official TikTok platform. “Check out my unedited day at Legoland in Denmark….”- wrote the former world’s number one tennis player.

After that, this WTA legend also mentioned how “hummmm nice and almost private” environment they got since the place wasn’t very crowded with visitors. “Serena and Olympia rides roller coaster at Lego Land in Denmark ❤️ This is the cutest video ever. Just had to share this! via Serena’s Tiktok”- wrote the Instagram fan page.

Serena Williams’s TikTok profile further revealed how the mommy-daughter duo enjoyed Lego Ninjas, Lego creations that are huge and almost life-size, and many other amusing features of the place. While fans were happy seeing Serena having a gala time with her family on her latest European vacation, they also noticed how grown up Serena’s six-year-old looked with her long braided hair and that adorable smile.

Not only that Serena’s video showed how their seats rolled up at one point giving Olympia a great surprise to the extent that she rolled her eyes at Mommy’s camera and exclaimed- “OHHH NOO!”. However, before she could realize it, the ride took off again and Olympia said- “I did not expect that,” On the other hand, Williams cooperated with her daughter so much that she laughed at the moment showing that she was having equal fun with Olympia, visiting the Lego Land.

The mommy-daughter duo has been a fan of adventure. During Serena’s tropical vacation earlier this January, fans spotted her capturing her fun water ride wearing a black swimsuit. Preparing for the water slide while filing, Williams said- “Give ya girl a waterslide and a camera- and this is what you will get! So Olympia talked me into doing this water slide, which I’ve already done twice,” This legendary WTA star was spotted screaming and laughing as her ride got faster than her expectations and dropped her into the pool.

Serena Williams is not just a legendary tennis player with 23 Grand Slams but a devoted mother to Olympia and Adira. Not only did she accompany Olympia in Lego Land but she also visited Paris’s candy store for her baby girl and was amazed by the stock.

Serena Williams’s Paris trip was filled with excitement as she visited a candy store for Olympia

Before Denmark, the Williams-Ohanian family delighted their fans with their amazing vacation pictures in Paris. Serena took her fans to an American candy shop in Paris and showed their incredible variety, which brought even Serena’s childhood back.

We are at a store that sells American stuff. Okay, look at all these candy. I am not sure but these Twinkies flavored popcorns, we don’t, I have never seen that in the stores in the US, but ohkay! I haven’t seen that, Yum! Yum ! Yum! What about this? Cold? I never saw that! Hey, who else sell these stuff? Yum! Yum! Yum!”- she said while filming the store. Not sure what mommy picked for her baby girl but the video was enough for fans to understand the joy and happiness they encountered in their latest family vacation.

Therefore, Serena Williams’s Lego Land visit with her daughter Olympia was a treat for the fans. Despite being busy with other work commitments, fans find it commendable that Serena and her husband never fail to prioritize their family and spend time with each other.

Florida High School Athletic Association came up with a drastic change that could impact Charlie Woods’s future. The FHSAA has allowed student-athletes to sign Name, Image, and Likeness deals with brands for which they can earn money. The board has also approved high school athletes to hire agents, but only for NIL purposes.

Charlie Woods has already attracted a lot of eyeballs because of the uncanny similarity with his father’s mannerisms. With Tiger Woods, the teenager also teed off in the PNC Championship four times in a row. So, it will hardly be surprising if the Woods family gets snowed under the flurry of NIL deals coming his way. Will he sign any NIL deals, though? Or has he already? Here is what teenage Woods’s Benjamin High School coach thinks.

There were rumors of Greyson moving in as the first sponsor after Woods Jr. sported the wolf emblem in this year’s PNC Championship. Moreover, Greyson reshared a story on the Instagram handle, welcoming Charlie Woods to the fold. Coupled with Tiger Woods’s break-up with Nike, it was read as an inevitable sign that the 15-year-old might be signing a NIL deal soon.

However, that post has since been deleted. And, in the last seven months, Charlie Woods has sported different brands. His high-school coach, Toby Harbeck told Palm Beach Sports, “I’m sure someone’s going to approach him with [NIL] … but they’re so smart and they’ve got such good people around them that I think the only thing we need to be careful of is making sure we’re all aware of what’s going on − and that deals with all kids.”

Harbeck revealed that the Woods family likes to live in their ‘own little world’ as Charlie Woods said during the PNC Championship. Since the announcement, Barbeck hasn’t spoken with his most famous ‘student’. Neither has he got the chance to talk to Tiger Woods.

Barbeck revealed, “They’re very protective as far as letting anyone get a word in about anything.” That’s not surprising from a man who named his yacht, ‘Privacy.’ Regardless, Harbeck would be ‘shocked’ if the 15-time major champion allowed his son to sign a NIL deal.

Toby Harbeck asks what is it that Charlie Woods lacks. At 15, he is the center of media attention whenever he steps on the greens. His achievements, be they personal or in school, are well documented.

Fans have flocked around the 15-year-old, almost to the point of disrupting the tournament when Woods Jr. attempted to earn a spot in the Monday qualifier of the Cognizant Classic. The teenager’s U.S. Open bid also received equal, if not more attention. Harbeck said, “He doesn’t need the fame. He’s got that. He surely doesn’t need the money. So what’s the benefit of Charlie receiving NIL money? Is there one? I don’t know

Notably, Miles Russell, perhaps the most famous 15-year-old not named Charlie Woods, has already signed a NIL deal with TaylorMade. The Jacksonville native also has an NIL deal with Transcend Capital. But for Charlie Woods to ink a similar deal, the world needs to wait a while.

Anthony Joshua is set to get a shot at becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion by facing the winner of the rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

In an interview with The Sun, Hearn stated, “I expect the winner of the December fight to fight Anthony Joshua if he wins in September. There’s no decision yet made on the opponent, there are three or four in the mix. But yeah, that’s the absolute plan.”

Joshua, who last fought in March when he brutally knocked out Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia, is expected to take on Daniel Dubois in September at Wembley Stadium. Dubois recently won the IBF ‘interim’ belt by stopping Filip Hrgovic.

“The first priority is to regain the world heavyweight title and obviously undisputed’s always been the dream. So I think we’re two fights away from becoming undisputed. But, we’ve got to win them,” Hearn added.

In their initial meeting last month, Usyk defeated Fury via split decision to become the first boxer since Lennox Lewis in 1999 to unify the heavyweight division. The Ukrainian’s victory saw him claim the WBC title from Fury, adding to his WBA (Super), WBO, IBF, and IBO belts.

According to a report by Dailymail, promoter Frank Warren confirmed that discussions are ongoing for a potential Joshua-Dubois clash, stating, “Daniel Dubois proved all his doubters wrong and won the IBF ‘interim’ belt. He hopefully will be fighting AJ in the autumn, we’re working on that. He did well. We would love it to be in the UK, they’re two Brits, it would be a great fight to put on at Wembley.”

Should Joshua overcome Dubois, he will be in line to face either Fury or Usyk in a bid to become the undisputed heavyweight champion, even if the Gypsy King gains revenge on the Ukrainian to set up a potential trilogy.

The American had been struggling with flu but fought to a three-set win on June 6, 2015.

Serena Williams overcame illness to win her 20th grand slam title nine years ago with victory over Lucie Safarova in the French Open final.

The American, who won her first major 16 years previously, beat Czech Safarova 6-3 6-7 (2) 6-2 in a dramatic showdown at Roland Garros.

Williams, 33 at the time, was the clear favourite as the world number one and reigning US Open and Australian Open champion, but she had been struggling with illness prior to the final and revealed she almost withdrew from the match.

And she was then given a fright by Safarova, who was playing in her first grand slam final in the French capital.

Williams won the first set 6-3 and looked to be heading for a routine victory when she led 4-1 in the second. However, the left-handed Safarova battled back to force a second-set tie break, which she won comprehensively.

A major shock was on the cards when Safarova led 2-0 in the decider, only for Williams to show her prowess by winning six successive games to claim a third French Open title.

Williams said after the match: “Is it the most difficult grand slam I’ve ever won? For sure.

“When you have the flu, your whole body aches. That’s kind of what I have been dealing with. Even now I just really don’t have any energy and I just want to go to bed. It’s been a nightmare 48 hours.”

She added: “I talked to all the doctors here and the physios here. I even told the physio, ‘I’m not sure I’m going to be able to play because this is just not looking good’.”

It was her 20th grand slam singles title, which left her two behind Steffi Graf and four adrift of Margaret Court.

Williams went on to take her tally to 23 but history continued to elude her as she lost her last four grand slam finals, two at Wimbledon and two in the US Open.

In August 2022, Williams announced her impending “evolution” away from professional tennis and played her final match at the 2022 US Open.

The biggest fight of 2024 is now in the rear-view after Oleksandr Usyk beat Tyson Fury to become undisputed heavyweight champion on May 18 in Saudi Arabia. The fight was another in the long list of massive showdowns that boxing has produced over the past few years.

A rematch between Usyk and Fury is now on the books, with the clash set for Dec. 21. The fight will again be held in Saudi Arabia, which has become the new home of the biggest fights in the sport.

The next “big name” set for action in the coming weeks is Gervonta “Tank” Davis, one of boxing’s biggest stars and most talented fighters. The heavy-hitting Davis is set to defend his WBA lightweight title against talented boxer Frank Martin on June 15 in Las Vegas. There are plenty of intriguing options for Davis in the future but he’ll have to come through with the win against Martin to maintain leverage in future negotiations for bigger fights.

In a strange pairing that will intrigue a different audience, former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will meet in the boxing ring on July 6, a spiritual successor to their ceremonial BMF championship fight at UFC 244 in 2019.

Also set for the summer was one of the strangest, yet most intriguing fights on the boxing calendar, former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was set return to the boxing ring at age 58 against social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 27, on Netflix on July 20. Unfortunately, a medical issue for Tyson has forced the fight to be postponed with a new date still to be announced.

Simone Biles not only won her historic ninth U.S. all-around title, but she also won hearts at the 2024 U.S. Championships. Amidst the competition’s intensity, a touching moment unfolded when her Tokyo Olympics teammate, Suni Lee, faced a setback after her vault routine during the first rotation.

As the competition progressed, Biles, a supportive friend, was spotted on the sidelines, standing near Lee’s apparatuses, cheering her on with kind encouragement. Simone Biles later disclosed that her own experience with the Tokyo ‘Twisties’ and the inherent danger of falling from the vault fueled her instinct to rush to Suni’s side, understanding all too well the potential impact of such a situation.

In a post-championship press conference shared by USA Gymnastics on Instagram, Biles sat flanked by her coaches, Laurent Landi and Cecile Landi, gracefully fielding questions that lingered in fans’ minds. However, a particular exchange stood out—a heartfelt moment when Biles was asked about her interaction with Lee after her vault and uneven bar routines.

Reflecting on their shared moment, Biles recounted, “After Suni vaulted, I knew exactly what was going through her head. I dealt with that in Tokyo, so I just knew she needed some encouragement and somebody to trust her gymnastics for her and to believe in her, so that’s exactly what I did.

She continued, “I went back there and went to talk to her, and I was like, ‘Did you get lost? Or did you just decide to do a one-and-a-half?’ So we kind of just asked that, and I was like, ‘Don’t overthink your gymnastics; you’re fine.’” Biles further revealed her gesture of solidarity, saying how she even told Suni Lee, “If you want me to stand over there for bars,” and said Suni asked her, “Can you please stand over there for bars?” So that’s why Simone went over for bars as well.

Biles explained her empathetic stance, “Because I’ve been in her shoes, I’ve done that exact thing, and I know how traumatizing it is, especially on a big stage like this. And I didn’t want her to get in her head, so we just went and talked about it while she was in the back, and then when she came out, I went to support her.” However, there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

Simone Biles and Suni Lee have been ride or die pretty much their entire lives now, at-least after crossing paths as revered gymnasts. It also seems to be that Simone Biles’ love language is acts of service and gift giving. Biles once took note of Lee and the latter’s relationship with her dad in 2021, which struck a chord with the former and she decided to surprise him as well, coming in clutch.

Biles decided to, on a whim, do something nice for Lee’s father who also unfortunately happens to be paraplegic from the chest down. Suni Lee’s father, John Lee was paralyzed in 2019 and Biles decided to gift him a sliver of her life. People from Quantum Rehab were brought out to cheer John on along with a snazzy and a swanky electric chair custom fitted for him. Biles escorted the help of the Today Show for the same and brought about waves of happiness permeating through Lee’s family.

Simone Biles bemoaned ecstatically that –“Hi, Mr. Lee, it’s Simone. I love your daughter, Suni, so much and I know how much she loves you,” she said in a video John watched from a tablet. “You have done so much for her so I reached out to my friends at the Today show to see if we could do something special for you. Hope you like it.” With this pretty much solidifying why Biles is a true blue messiah and the greatest friend there is, Paris with this duo will be one to watch out for as we get to witness their collaborative spirit in action.

As we reflect on these words, it’s evident that Simone Biles has undergone significant personal growth. She effectively processed her own trauma and extended her support to her teammates in similar situations. Now, let’s delve into how the evening unfolded for Suni following Biles’ remarkable support display.

Suni Lee’s progress on Day 2 of the 2024 U.S. Championships

In rotation one on Day 2 of the Senior Women’s competition, Suni Lee struggled with her vault, scoring 12.150 after apparently getting lost in the air during her Yurchenko 1.5 and sitting it. However, she showcased her strength on the uneven bars, earning a solid score of 14.500 with an impressive routine that included a Van Leeuwen, blind change to straddle Jaeger to Pak to Maloney to Gienger, and a toe full to full-in dismount with a small hop.

Moving to the balance beam, Suni Lee displayed finesse and precision, earning a commendable score of 14.900. Her routine featured highlights such as a front aerial to split jump to back handspring and a solid side aerial loso series, ending with a stuck gainer full dismount. Finally, when moving to the floor exercise, Suni scored 13.350.

Overall, Suni Lee’s all-around score placed her in 4th place, totaling 110.650 points. As these two remarkable women stand on the cusp of another Olympic team.
