Now at the Adam Scott Junior Championship, two amateur golfers will be following in the footsteps of their legendary fathers, Tiger Woods and Trevor Immelman, who had competed together several times earlier, and will now have their offspring teeing off together. Before that, one of his noteworthy performances was at the 2020–2021 Florida Boys High School Golf Team Leaderboard Division – 1A, where he was ranked 14. He then participated in the US Kids 13–14 age group ever at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links in Orlando. In the ultimate round, he carded six birdies and finished the round with a 5-under, 67, grabbing a win by 4 strokes!
Immelman will be joining the Clemson Tigers after attaining 18 wins against top 100 competitions. Among these was the T24 finish at the Billy Horschel Junior Championship presented by Zurich. He started with three consecutive birdies on the first five holes and scored two more birdies, and one bogey for the first round. The second went pretty well too, with five birdies and a double bogey.
However, it was the ultimate round that dropped him down on the leaderboard. He opened the round with three consecutive bogeys, with a total of five of them, and just one birdie on the ninth hole and he carded a score of 4-over, 76. At the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior in July, he finished with a T34.
According to the AJGA, Charlie Woods is currently ranked at 1510, with an average of 0.391 points accumulated so far. While Jacob Immelman is ranked at 968, with an average of 1.062 points accumulated this season. The stats stand pretty clear as to who is currently leading in the amateur career. But the tables can turn at any moment, given that the two of them are for the first time teeing off in the same field.

Miles Russell, who is also dubbed as Charlie Woods’ biggest rival, not only broke Tiger Woods’ record becoming the top-ranked AJGA player before turning 15, but also led an amazing round at the Korn Ferry Tour. Charlie Woods was not even qualified for it, and Russel managed to bag 6-under 66 tying for the 26th position.
