Gervonta Davis is one of the greatest boxers in the lightweight division, and some would even say the best. The Baltimore puncher is about to enter the ring against undefeated Frank Martin on June 15 at MGM Grand, Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. However, as the fight night creeps closer, Davis reflects on his fight against Ryan Garcia.

The duo squared off against each other at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, following a long drawn rivalry, producing one of the biggest money makers in 2023. Despite Garcia leading the scorecards in the early rounds, Davis expertly dropped Garcia in the second round by dodging his left hook and countering with a straight left. This was followed by a perfectly placed body shot in the seventh that forced Garcia to quit. So, in the wake of the Martin fight, Davis reveals his winning strategy while appearing in an interview with PBC.

Yesterday, Premier Boxing Champions shared a clip of the interview with Davis on X, with the caption reading, “[Gervonta Davis] has such a good ring IQ that he turns his opponents’ biggest weapons into his own winning strategy”. Meanwhile, in the clip, the interviewer probed the Baltimore native about his headlining fight against Garcia.

In response, the 29-year-old highlighted Garcia kept going back to his left hook, so Davis used it against Garcia. ‘Tank’ said, “He just kept on throwing the same punch. Kept on the same punch and he was right there for everything.” However, it’s worth mentioning that Davis had forced Garcia to adhere to a rehydration clause, which left the 25-year-old drained.

Not to mention, the fight happened at a catchweight of 136 pounds! While Garcia was used to fighting at a similar weight, the rehydration clause played a key role in giving Davis the advantage. In contrast, when Garcia took on Devin Haney at a much higher weight, Garcia seemed much more effective and powerful. Nevertheless, Ryan Garcia has accused Davis of playing with him before the fight.

Ryan Garcia highlights boxing mind games

While appearing in a podcast with Patrick Bet David on January 31 this year, the Victorville native reflected on the days leading up to the Gervonta Davis fight. He said, “They played with me”, alleging Davis kept moving the date for the fight. Initially, he wanted to do the fight in October, but then, it was moved to December.

Then, “They can’t do December cuz his birthday he likes to celebrate his birthday”, said Garcia. When a January fight was decided, Garcia claims Davis argued for a tune-up fight first. What’s more, Garcia even roped in Floyd Mayweather, claiming Mayweather pushed Davis to play psychological games. “Floyd was telling them all these things”, Garcia said. “The rehydration clauses… putting all these stipulations on me… You can’t do this, you can’t do that. The ring needs to be this size. It’s Davis-Garcia it’s not… all these things were all by Floyd”, Garcia added.

With a mere 12 days left in the fight against Frank Martin, Gervonta Davis looked back at the Ryan Garcia fight and how he won it. However, as far as Garcia is concerned, he could win against Davis, so a potential fight between them could be on the horizon.

Charlie Woods’s dreams of a PGA Tour debut were shattered, but someone else’s is getting accomplished! Fifteen-year-old golfer Miles Russell received a sponsor exemption to play in the Rocket Mortgage Classic. This will mark the young golfer’s PGA Tour debut. Notably, Russell is the youngest player in Korn Ferry Tour history to make a cut, achieving a 5-under 66 in April at the Lecom Suncoast Classic in Longwood, Florida, to qualify on the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit.

Russell will join the likes of Rickie Fowler, who is preparing to defend his Rocket Mortgage Classic title at the Detroit Golf Club, and other prominent golfers. With Russell’s status as the 2023 American Junior Golf Association Player of the Year, all eyes will undoubtedly be on him. It will be intriguing to see how this young talent performs alongside seasoned veterans, but meanwhile, he has garnered a lot of admiration from the golf community.

After the PGA Tour welcomed this 15-year-old prodigy, he expressed his excitement, stating, “Ever since I first started playing golf, my dream has been to compete on the PGA Tour and test my game against the best players.” His desire to play on Jay Monahan’s circuit has come true, and he shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming tournament, saying, “I’m looking forward to making the most of the experience later this month.”

The tournament is scheduled from June 27 to June 30. NUCLRGOLF shared the good news on X, “JUST IN: 15-year-old high schooler Miles Russell is making his PGA TOUR debut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic after receiving a sponsor’s exemption.” Additionally, Russell’s passion for professional golf is further evident as he is also attempting to qualify for the US Open in Durham, NC. He opened the first round with 2 under 68. Let us see some of the things fans have to say about the young prodigy.

“Congratulations” were in order for the young star as people started appreciating him. The golf world also noted how “amazing” it is to achieve this feat at such an early age. Russell is currently ranked at number 1 in the Rolex AJGA rankings. He has played in 8 events on the AJGA circuit so far and has won two: the Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex and the Boy’s Junior PGA Championship, both in 2023.

Although his journey is just beginning, many also wished him good luck, with comments like “Let’s go! Good luck, Miles!” His best finish so far this year has been T6 at the 2024 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. With such a good score, he will definitely be able to go head-to-head with seasoned pros.

While many appreciated Russell’s accomplishment, some fans had different thoughts, particularly about Charlie Woods, with one commenting, “Charlie Woods in shambles seeing this.” Woods Jr. hoped to make his PGA Tour debut at the Cognizant Classic this year but failed to do so. He was unable to advance from the pre-qualifying event. He carded 16 over 86. Woods Jr. fell short not once but twice. He also aimed for the US Open in April, but unfortunately, he did not succeed.

Additionally, some believe that “it’s go time,” emphasizing that this might be the moment for the young prodigy to begin his journey. Earlier in 2024, Russell was the only amateur to advance to the final Monday Qualifier for the Puerto Rico Open but he unfortunately fell short in a playoff. He carded an incredible 5 under 67, but this time, he will finally be playing on the greens with Tour pros. Things certainly look promising, as he is already securing sponsorships from brands like TaylorMade.

TaylorMade signs Miles Russell to NIL agreement

Following his impressive performance at the Korn Ferry in April, TaylorMade announced an NIL agreement with reigning AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year Miles Russell, adding him to its esteemed roster of junior, collegiate, and professional golfers. As a result, the 15-year-old golfer now exclusively uses a full set of TaylorMade equipment, comprising the Qi10 LS driver, TP5x golf ball, and P·Series irons.

Talking about the deal, the 15-year-old said, “I have had a great relationship with the team at TaylorMade for years now and couldn’t be more excited to continue to work with them in the future. TaylorMade has a history of developing the top junior talent in the world to help reach their goals of becoming PGA TOUR and major championship winners. I am looking forward to working with the team to reach those and other goals I have laid out for my career.”

Renowned for its forgiveness and distance-enhancing features, the Qi10 LS driver could be the ideal choice for Russell, especially when paired with the precision and performance of the P·Series irons. With the attention of the world and the best gear in tow, Miles Russell looks poised to take the gold world by storm in the coming days.

In a dazzling display of skill and determination, Simone Biles triumphed at the 2024 Xfinity Championship, cementing her status as a gymnastics legend. On Day 1 of the Xfinity Games, the reigning world champion dominated with a total score of 60.450, securing a significant lead over the second-place gymnast. Her top-notch Olympic preparation is evident in the precise execution of her routines.

Biles’ performance demonstrated unrivaled talent and highlighted why investing in her skills is incredibly rewarding. It’s no wonder then that fans from around the world come to get a glimpse of her. A dedicated gymnastics couple traveled 10,000 miles to witness the brilliance of the championship and support their icon, Simone Biles, amidst an ecstatic crowd.

Recently, Scott Bregman shared a picture of a couple posing during the US National Championships on his X handle. The two women wore matching shirts that read, “We Flew 10500 Miles for Biles”. Bregman introduced them in his caption, “Courtney Wright and Zara Stanes traveled more than 10,000 miles and for nearly two days to watch @Simone_Biles at the U.S. Championships. They made it, slept three hours, and now they’re front and center as she goes for title No. 9.” Starting their journey from Perth on Wednesday afternoon, the couple embarked on a more than 10,000-mile trip.

They first flew to Singapore, which took about five-and-a-half hours, before continuing to Los Angeles, adding another 15 hours of travel time. Unfortunately, their plans were disrupted by weather delays the following morning, extending what was supposed to be a two-and-a-half-hour trip to Ft. Worth into “an eight hour ordeal”. However, this hiccup did little to dampen their spirits. Wright later told Olympics.com that they saw a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and decided to grab it.

Despite the long journey and minimal sleep, Courtney and Zara were thrilled to be at the championships, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to witness Simone Biles compete for her ninth title. Wright stated, “The journey really began when Simone came back last year, and I went, ‘This is it. We’ve got I feel like one more opportunity to see her compete in person’”. She further added, “I messaged Zara because she’s always willing to go along with my crazy ideas, and I said, ‘Let’s go to nationals next year.’”

Biles finished the first day of competition with an astounding 3-point lead from first runner-up Skye Bakely. She even bested her own Core Hydration Classics score of 59.500 with a new 60.450 points. This is the highest score put up by any female athlete in the Olympic Cycle. It also broke the 60.00 score mark that was set since the 2021 US Olympic trials. Fulfilling Wright and Stanes’ wishes, she performed a Yurchenko double pike on the vault that gained her the highest score of the night at 15.800.

Simone Biles kept getting better as she secured 14.650 on uneven bars, 14.800 on balance beams, and finally 15.200 on the floor. Biles is just 4 routines away from making history as she gears up for her 9th US Crown title. Her routines were a breathtaking affair, and surely, her fans are more than happy to have witnessed such a long ordeal and witnessed it.

The timeless affection for Simone Biles over the years

Biles’ fans have always shown their admiration for her through sweet gestures. During an NFL Packers game last year, one fan dressed in a frozen cheese costume made a gift for Simone. It was a goat hat wearing a purple shirt with Olympics rings on the arm. The fan said, “You’re the greatest of all time (GOAT). I had to make you something, okay? You are the GOAT. This is for you.” It was a very wholesome interaction as Biles put the hat on her head. Even off-court, the adoration is evident. One creative director from LA Thomas R Wood shared a post of his 5-year-old daughter.

The child had written SMB on an envelope, the first time she had written anything else besides her name. The little girl also called Biles “the best.” Simone was visibly touched by this as she reposted the tweet with the caption, “this is the cutest omg my heart!!!” The little girl really touched Biles’ heartstrings. Biles, in the past, has also lent her support to the queer community. During one of her Asks on Instagram, one fan came out to her saying, “I still haven’t told my dad I’m gay even though everyone else in my family knows.” Biles replied to him with kindness, saying, “Tell him, be free, be yourself. I support you.”

She further added, “For anyone else struggling with telling family or friends, just know I will always welcome you with open arms on my page and platforms.” The man’s trust in Biles just speaks volumes of her exemplary character. Simone Biles also went to surprise an 11-year-old gymnast named Taylor. Taylor described Simone Biles as her inspiration, and just as she was doing a cartwheel, she was beyond overjoyed to see Biles right there holding a sign that read “Perfect 10”. The two embraced sweetly, and Taylor gushed about her role model. Biles fans have always been her biggest source of support and these interactions just prove their love for her. Her performances inspire fans and aspiring gymnasts globally, showcasing the transformative impact athletes like her have on the gymnastics world.

No one had as much fun as Sergio Garcia! The one major winner has been enjoying his mid-season break in style and with plenty of music. Although Garcia has not won in recent days, the 44-year-old has not led that dim his light. The Spaniard with his wife Angela Garcia attended Justin Timberlake’s concert two nights back-to-back in Austin, Texas at the Moody Center.

Justin Timberlake had been an avid recreational golfer. The musician has various businesses, including one with Tiger Woods. The two have a sports bar called the T-Square Social. As a golf enthusiast, it was given that Timberlake would know of Sergio Garcia. The star even acknowledged him at his concert.

From the first night of the Forget Tomorrow Tour in Austin, Garcia shared a snippet of Timberlake having fun with him. From the brightly lit stage, the singer recognized the LIV Golf pro in the middle of his performance. He jokingly gestured towards Garcia near the stands, acting out a golf swing. The pro laughed while grooving to the music. He captioned his video writing, “See you on the course” and perhaps gave Timberlake a challenge to play against himself.

This was an unexpected interaction between the LIV Golf pro and Justin Timberlake that many did not expect. Thus, once the video surfaced on social media, it made the golf fans love the encounter a lot.

Golf world groove with Sergio Garcia and Justin Timberlake’s fun

It was surprising that Justin Timberlake took the time to interact with Sergio Garcia and more so since the two have never been seen together. Reflecting this very sentiment, one fan exclaimed, “This is epic!”while another wrote, “That’s awesome!!”

Justin Timberlake might be one of the best musicians of today’s era and, on the other hand, Sergio Garcia too is the top face in the golfing world. This fan was impressed with the interaction between the pro and even appreciated the duo indirectly, writing, “Game recognises Game.” Another found the situation hilarious and asked Garcia, “Wow did you dance back to Justin!?.” To answer this, the Spaniard did move a little in response.

Seeing the interaction between the two, one fan had a fun suggestion where Garcia and Timberlake could play a fun round of golf in Texas. The fan recommended, “Serg, that needs to be match #1 on ,your YouTube channel! Timberlake v. Garcia, stroke play at The Omni Canyon Course! Loser has to karaoke the song of the winner’s choosing.”

Back in 1997, something happened during a boxing match, which still sends shivers down the spines of people who see it. Heavyweight boxers Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield went toe-to-toe against each other for their second encounter inside the squared circle. The first one Tyson lost. During round three of their second match, a furious and frustrated Tyson sunk his teeth and ripped off a portion of Holyfield’s right ear, leaving him bleeding and in gruesome pain. Almost 27 years later, it is still regarded as one of the most infamous chapters in boxing history.

Nearly two decades after his retirement, Mike Tyson was supposed to grace the ring on July 20 opposite Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. However, the match has now been postponed.    The 58-year-old suffered an ulcer flare-up, which eventually forced his doctors to step in and issue an ultimatum against his return to training. The fate of the massive Netflix event now looks bleak. In the midst of all this Holyfield posted a video of himself on Instagram slugging hard on a punching bag. Fans immediately cluttered the comments section of the post suggesting potential matchup options for the Real Deal.

Evander Holyfield is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers the world has ever seen. Despite having retired 10 years ago, the four-time world heavyweight champion nevertheless maintains a sizable following on Instagram, with 1.2 million followers. The 61-year-old posted the video with the caption, “If you don’t take no chances, then you’re not a performer. Performers always take chances.”

After looking at his recent training video, his fans demanded a comeback from the former champ in a similar vein to Mike Tyson’s. However, is he truly fit to fight in a boxing ring again? Does this hint towards a comeback? His fellow boxing mate ‘Iron Mike’ has caught the world’s attention since the announcement of his fight with ‘The Problem Child’.

ne fan even brought in former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis into the conversation. They said, “Can u and mike have the last man standing fight pls anyone that win will fight Lenox Luis”

As the fight between Tyson and Paul remains postponed, a boxing enthusiast suggested the ‘Real Deal’ to be Paul’s new opponent. They wrote, “Jakes new opponent.” While another Instagram user simply praised Holyfield for his exceptional physique. They remarked, “The Real Deal looking better than men half his age.”

Despite all the remarks made by fans, there is very little to no chance that Tyson and Holyfield will fight again. Both fighters have come a long way and moved on from their bloody past. The two even joined hands in 2022 and used their infamous fight as a marketing strategy to sell Tyson’s edible ear-shaped gummies.

In April 2024, the possibility of Tiger Woods assuming the captaincy for the next two Ryder Cups sparked speculation. In a presser after the Masters at Augusta Nationals, Woods’ hinted at his possible announcement as the US captain, saying, “We’re still talking about it.” His captaincy could elevate the prestige cup’s profile even more, as Team US seeks to win back the trophy they lost to Team Europe last year.

However, the PGA of America had offered Woods captaincy for the Ryder’s Cup at Bethpage next year. As of May, the anticipation remained unresolved, with John Wood appointed as the team manager for the 2025 Ryder Cup, leaving uncertainty about Woods’ involvement.

However, the PGA of America had offered Woods captaincy for the Ryder’s Cup at Bethpage next year. As of May, the anticipation remained unresolved, with John Wood appointed as the team manager for the 2025 Ryder Cup, leaving uncertainty about Woods’ involvement.

Amidst the uncertainty, John Wood’s extensive Ryder Cup experience and new managerial role underscore the strategic importance of team dynamics and operational matters. However, the absence of a confirmed captain adds complexity to the team’s preparations and raises questions about leadership stability.

As for the captaincy opportunity by the PGA of America, Woods’ decision hinges on various factors, including time availability and dedication to representing Team USA. He said, “I’m dedicating so much time to what we’re doing with the PGA Tour, I don’t want to not fulfill the role of the captaincy if I can’t do it.” Woods’s remarks hinted at an impending announcement regarding his captaincy, yet a definitive confirmation remains uncertain. However, another big name came out and spoke with on the situation.

PGA of America boss at ease regarding Woods’ Ryder Cup captaincy

The PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh remains composed about the uncertainty surrounding Woods’s captaincy, emphasizing the organization’s willingness to wait for his decision. Speaking on the eve of the PGA Championship at Valhalla, the boss said, “We’ve had conversations for months. We’ve also had conversations as the Ryder Cup committee, multiple conversations about potential captains.” Amidst the growing unease, Waugh’s reassurance reflects confidence in Woods’ commitment.

Despite the desire for clarity on his captaincy decisions, the PGA of America acknowledges Woods’ purposeful approach and respects his commitment. Reflecting on this, Waugh said, “He’s got a lot on his plate right now. He’s very active, obviously, on the tour side of things. We want to give him and the committee space to decide how it plays out.”

As discussions on the 2025 Ryder Cup captaincy continue to heat up, the excitement and anticipation among fans keep building around this iconic event. Whether Tiger Woods assumes the captaincy or not, one thing is for sure – the Ryder Cup always promises to deliver excitement around. Stay tuned for the latest update.

Just months after her exceptional silver medal performance behind gymnastics superstar Simone Biles at the 2023 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, 18-year-old Kaliya Lincoln’s Paris Olympic dreams hit a potential roadblock at the final major meet before June’s Olympic Trials.

Lincoln’s journey on the mat has been nothing short of remarkable. However, in a surprising turn of events, she has put a sudden pause to her ascending career by withdrawing from the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships after the first two rotations and petitioning for a Trials spot. This unexpected development raises questions about whether Lincoln, will be in peak form as she vies for one of the coveted spots for Paris.

Kaliya Lincoln has withdrawn from the second day of #XfinityChamps and has petitioned to compete at Olympic Trials read the X post by USA Gymnastics. Lincoln’s surprise exit robs her of valuable qualification points and casts a cloud over her Trials readiness just weeks out. The Xfinity meet had been her final chance to boost her national team claims before the Paris 2024 roster is finalized at Trials on June 27-30.

The teen starlet had been dubbed Biles’ likely successor after matching the GOAT’s senior career with a senior debut at the 2023 Winter Cup, continuing at the 2023 U.S. Classic and the 2023 National Championships. But Lincoln may now be forced to watch from home after her untimely Xfinity withdrawal. USA Gymnastics stayed tight-lipped on the specifics behind her withdrawal, offering no update on potential injuries or other issues.

Lincoln started her journey under the mentorship of her idol, US Gymnastics icon Gabby Douglas, when Lincoln was just 12. Her journey with Gabby Douglas began after she first saw the three-time Olympic champion during a TV show. They later met, and Douglas was the one who inspired Lincoln to dream about gymnastics.

After 2021, an unfortunate condition resulted in a two-year-long break from international competition for Kaliya Lincoln. Kaliya Lincoln’s recent performance at the National Training Centre showcased her exceptional skills and further cemented her status as a top contender. Her dazzling 6.5-floor routine at the World Gymnastics Championships Selection Camp garnered widespread acclaim on social media.

Fans highlighted her as a key player for Team USA. Netizens even crowned her with the title “Second Simone Biles”. With her impressive record, including two gold medals at the 2023 Pan American Games, Lincoln’s withdrawal might be signaling not a retreat but a strategic pivot as she aims for Olympic glory.

Shortly after the Xfinity gymnastics competition concluded on June 2, Sunday evening, USA Gymnastics announced that they approved Kaliya Lincoln’s petition to take part in the upcoming U.S. Olympic trials scheduled for later this month. It is anticipated that Lincoln will join Simone Biles, Skye Blakely, as well as 13 other gymnasts at the trials, which will commence on June 27th in the city of Minneapolis.

Empty seats and silent audiences at any sporting event are a huge morale dwindler and prominent stars like Noah Lyles and Sydney McLaughlin Levrone have faced the brunt of it. Gymnastics suffers the same fate too from time to time. Will Olympic dreams collide with unexpected silence at the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships? The anticipation was palpable as the event promised a spectacle of athleticism and Olympic dreams. With Simone Biles headlining the event, fans are eagerly waiting to witness the unparalleled grace on the mat. But contrasting with all the enthusiasm, an eerie silence pervaded the arena.

As to everyone’s disbelief, the empty stands dimmed the spectacle. Despite the queen of gymnastics reigning on the gymnastics floor, the roar from the stands was not loud enough to enlighten the electrifying performances. But why did Biles have to take center stage amidst an atmosphere of eerie quietude?

Simone Biles, a name synonymous with triumphs and roaring cheers in the gymnastics realm, took center stage in the U.S. Championship last Friday in Fort Worth, Texas. With gravity-defying stunts, Biles has already taken the lead. However, the absence of cheering fans left a void in the atmosphere. Recently an X post shared a snapshot of the empty stands of Fort Worth and added, The arena is… empty.

The tickets for the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships were available online for fans. The price for the tickets began from $239 for all eight sessions. The highest price reached approximately $10,000. This amount might be the reason behind the empty stands. Also, the tornado in Texas affected the area and left many people without power. This, in turn, might have affected the situation.

Besides Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas was on the list of contenders, but unfortunately, because of a sudden injury, she had to withdraw from the U.S. Championships 2024. The list is also graced by names like Shilese Jones, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Leane Wong, Yul Moldauer, Paul Juda, and many other extraordinary athletes.

A stadium filled with enthusiastic supporters often becomes a catalyst for the athletes’ positive mindset before their performance. As the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships unfolded against the backdrop of a deserted arena, fans couldn’t help but feel a sense of disappointment. And longing for the days when stadiums were filled with enthusiastic supporters. This holds true for the dismal plight prevailing in track and field as well, especially if we consider allusions to this interrelated problem in the sporting realm.

Noah Lyles, back in 2021, even admitted that his failure and underwhelming performance in the 200m was due to the lack of a viable crowd rooting for their favorite athletes. Notwithstanding Covid regulations, he simply stated that-“I don’t think you understand how lifeless it was in Tokyo to have no crowd there. It was dead silent,” which just goes to show how much of a buzzkill the dearth of fans causes to an athlete’s game. With no clarion calls or chants as such, he came in clutch with his rationale that –“I’ve competed in a stadium where the audience was silent and it was extremely weird, I think I would rather have nobody there.”

The same disappointing case prevailed with Sydney Levrone as well in the Oxy Invitational in LA this year. In her maiden voyage this year (her first ever hurdle race since August 2022) saw an acute paucity of traffic and turnover. While Levrone still gave it her all to emerge with a 12.71 in the 100mH, it still underscores that this issue is skin deep. Getting back to gymnastics, fans were visibly disheartened by this perennial problem and even chimed in with their two cents.

Gymnastics enthusiasts and netizens took to the comment section of the X post and shared their two cents on the matter. Referring to how direly vacant the stands are, one X user mentioned that even the first rows are empty. They commented, Literally you could be sitting the first row.

One fan mentioned their awkwardness while they watched the event on television. They highlighted that due to sparse applause in the nearly empty arena. For real, the smattering of clapping after routines in that arena is so awkward on TV :/”, wrote the fan.

Expressing incredulity at the high ticket prices for an event in Fort Worth, Texas, one user shared an opinion. The user sarcastically commented, Who wants to pay $10,000 for tickets to an event in the exotic, beautiful paradise of….Fort Worth. Texas is not predominantly considered a luxurious location. The comment reflected the irony of such high costs for an event in a location that may not be perceived as glamorous.

One comment highlighted that the previous day of the event too experienced a similar scenario. The user expressed disappointment and wrote, Damn I thought it would be significantly better than the men yesterday but it’s not.

While the Paris Olympics are just a few weeks away, athletes are gearing up to showcase their athletic prowess at every event. Despite that, Fort Worth had to execute one of the most awaited gymnastics events amid haunting silence.

Coco Gauff has been writing history from the moment she began her professional journey. Gauff was just 14 years old when she won her first pro match and has been unstoppable on the tennis court since then. However, the question arises, has the young American ever surpassed her predecessors’ success?

It’s a heartfelt moment to break a record or match it with your idol. However, to claim a record that has been elusive from their books, would undoubtedly call for celebration. And Coco Gauff has outdone not only Serena Williams but also Venus Williams for this record! Gauff has sailed smoothly throughout her French Open campaign until now. Things are going to pick up pace, both in intensity and strength.  However, before she plays her quarterfinal match, she’s pausing to celebrate a special moment at the Roland Garros.

Recently on their official Instagram account, the US Open, has shared the landmark achieved by Gauff at the mere age of 20. The world no. 3 would not be playing her 1st French Open quarter-final but her fourth!  The US Open captioned the post, ” Tradition at this point.” With over 6 years of professional experience under her belt, this would be Gauff’s fourth straight appearance at the Roland Garros. And the fact that she is the only American women tennis star to do so, is certainly a cherry on the top!

The Williams sisters, Serena and Venus shattered numerous glass ceilings in the women’s tennis. Specifically for the French Open, Serena won five titles – three singles and two doubles. While Venus has a record of one title won in Paris. The sisters opened doors for girls and women which were closed until then. Hence it’s a delight that youngsters are building upon the strong foundation laid with decades of work!

And Gauff couldn’t be more happy about her progress at the French Open, as she quoted in the recent post-match interview, “I am really happy with how everything has been going.” What is the young American tennis star so giddy about?

Coco Gauff is all hearts after re-union with an old-team member

The world no.3 has dominated her initial rounds at the Roland Garros. Despite the successful start, it could get unnerving for both the athlete and their team. And hence, any extra help is not only appreciated but also welcomed. When that help culminates into a reunion, it’s certainly a delight! Sometime back, Jean-Christophe Faurel returned to Coco’s camp, his second stint after collaborating in 2019 and the 20-year-old has been excited about it.

As she detailed her practice sessions under her coaches, she said ” They collaborate on, you know, the things that I need to work on. JC does a lot of day-to-day, you know, things, because, you know, Brad isn’t at every single tournament, and so he(Jean) does a lot of day-to-day drills, like, you know, being there day-to-day.”

Coco Gauff is all geared up from all sides to add another Grand Slam to her list. She has an uphill battle to get to the top, as Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina, the Big 3 of this calendar year, have sailed through their initial rounds.

Tiger Woods is busy this week, but not at his usual business. The veteran golfer is in Sin City for a TGR Foundation charity event. And, Woods was spotted playing poker in Las Vegas. It was part of Tiger Jam, a two-day gala hosted by the TGR Foundation.

The annual event returned to Vegas this year. As part of the unique experience, guests would get the chance to tee off at Shadow Creek Golf Course, famed as much for its unique Tom Fazio-designed layout as for hosting the famed made-for-TV Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson match.

The Friday night experience featured a charity poker event in collaboration with the World Poker Tour. It was presented by Maria Ho, one of the most well-known female poker players in the world and a Women in Poker Hall of Fame inductee. Woods, apparently, sat at the table for this particular event.

The world isn’t aware of his poker skills, but what caught the fans’ eyes was his muscular buildup. Woods’s physical transformation since coming back from surgery has always been a hot topic for discussion. Now, when TWLegion, a Tiger Woods tracking page, posted a screengrab from the promotional video, it quickly turned the conversation around his physique.
