In one word, it was unflinching. So, yes, while Gervonta has the ability to KO his opponents, Stevenson has his defense and IQ.

But, the boxer from Newark complains that in light of Davis’ power, fans underestimate his techniques. “People are blessed with different abilities. He’s blessed with a God-given ability that if he cracks you, nine times out of ten you’re gonna go down. I’m blessed with amazing eyes,” began Shakur Stevenson.

“I can see punches coming my way and get away from them,” added Stevenson on Cigar Talk. “They probably are judging me from a scale of him. At the end of the day, he’s a great fighter, he’s a special fighter, but I’m special in my own right too.”

However, as per the updates available, Shakur Stevenson may not get his hands on Gervonta Davis soon as ‘Tank’ is in the process of sealing a deal with Vasyl Lomachenko. For that reason, Stevenson called out a different opponent.

Shakur Stevenson calls out the third-best Lightweight boxer in the world

The title defense against Artem Harutyunyan was Shakur Stevenson’s last fight with Top Rank Boxing. And he thinks, among others, Mayweather Promotions can be a viable option given they offer him a deal better than the $15 million Top Rank offered the boxer recently. But, while Shakur decides on his next promoter, the boxer is sure about his next opponent. So, on Cigar Talk, he called out the third-best Lightweight as per The Ring Magazine.

“Where is William Zepada? Where is he? That’s the fight we need. We going to keep hyping him up to fight these guys that he’s stopping in three/four rounds because he throwing volume, and nonstop punching these dudes ain’t in the shape that I’ll be in,” said Shakur Stevenson. “If ‘Tank’ gon’ go fight Lomachenko, why can’t I fight maybe the harder fight?”

Tiger Woods’s beginning of a declining career

Tiger Woods was the youngest to win a career grand slam. He has won three so far. Although he won his latest major in 2019 at Augusta, the golfer’s buzzing career almost came to a halt in 2008 when he won 14 of his major titles out of 15.

With a five-year, $105 million contract extension with Nike in 2000, the golfer was at his peak among the athletes in his niche. After five years, from 2005 to 2010, Woods has also been the World No. 1 for a stretch. However, things took a massive turn soon after.

According to NBC News, Woods’ decline in golf has in turn brought about a decline in the sport quite hand in hand. They claimed, “The decline in golf’s popularity coincided with Woods’ 2009-2010 infidelity and divorce and recent physical ailments, said Rishe, and so has a lot of enthusiasm for the average person to pick up the game.”

Moreover, Woods’s long-persisted leg and ankle injuries and their subsequent surgeries since 2009 had also brought down his game play and participation. From World No. 1 to out of the top 500, according to Sporting News, this happened in 2016.

In an Instagram post, Sammi Biles, Simone’s sister-in-law, shared adorable pictures of the tiny tot on the spring floor at the World Champions Centre in Texas, owned by her grandparents and Simone’s parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles.

Dressed in a GK Elite leotard, Ronni was performing a floor routine. Sammi, expressing her love for the sport at such a young age, marveled, “the way she is so intrigued w/ this sport at such a young age is so special for many reasons.” Sammi continued, “WCC’s littlest elite /honorary member kidding but ahhh so adorable.” Sammi isn’t the only one calling Ronni an elite gymnast already.

The crowd went wild as the 34-year-old former heavyweight champion was introduced to the stage by the lead singer of the hip-hop group Lisa Maffia. AJ joined group members Lisa Maffia and Romeo on stage and rapped and danced along to the raging hit song of the 2000s “21 Seconds”.

His MC skills were on point as he didn’t miss a beat or fluff his lyrics. After the electrifying performance by the old-school hip-hop group, Joshua and the crew went go-karting. AJ was in the driver’s seat with Lisa sitting on the passenger side as he was trying to dodge his way out of bumps from fellow drivers.

This wasn’t the first time the former heavyweight champion has grooved with the So Solid Crew, as he performed the rap of ‘21 Seconds’ back in 2020 at the Garage Nation festival as well. He has also previously shown his passion for home-grown music in the UK by rapping along to Skepta and JME’s record “That’s Not Me” at an event in Dubai four years ago. This time too, Anthony Joshua shocked the crowd with his impressive rapping skills.

Way Ahead for Anthony Joshua

Since his return in 2023, Joshua has already changed his trainer twice. Starting with Derrick James, under whose stewardship he won the fights against Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, he then found his perfect match in compatriot Ben Davison who led him to two early-round stoppage victories against Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou.

With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, GK Elite has revealed the US gymnastics team’s leotards. In a special photoshoot with Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, and the rest of the gymnasts, GK Elite revealed the unique leotards. However, the showcase also set the stage for what fans could expect to see when the LA Olympics arrives.

“For the very first time, USA Gymnastics Olympic kits are being introduced to the public prior to the Games!” GK Elite’s wrote on Instagram. The brand showcased multiple leotards with a combined total of 47,000 crystals and pearls. Simone Biles posed in the one with the most crystals. The Luminous Legacy competition leotard has over 10,000 crystals strewn into it. Yet despite the record-breaking number of crystals and pearls, Sunisa Lee gave the brand’s marketing officer Matt Cowan an the idea to push even further for LA 2028.

Matt Cowan revealed that the crystals and pearls make the suits a little heavier. However, gymnastics icon Sunisa Lee is getting used to the suits by warming up in them during warm-up. Lee even told him that she would like to be “covered in crystals.” While that won’t be possible this time, they may aim for it for the LA Olympics. “One day… A gymnast would say, ‘I’m here to compete in my armor of crystal,’ and we’re going to make it happen for them.” Cowan told The New York Times.

The tradition of upping the crystals in gymnastics leotards has turned into a competition at GK Elite. In 2016, the company announced it had reached the maximum crystal capacity of 5000, in a single suit. They proved themselves wrong in 2021 with 6,700. However, this year, the company truly outdid itself by breaking the 10,000 barrier and including pearls.

For the first time a GK Elite uniform, The Freedom’s Grace, incorporates 3,494 crystals and 970 pearls. The entire USA gymnastics team, including the men, posed in the various uniforms that they’ll wear in France. However, the decision to make the outfits more dazzling than ever was a well-thought-out one.

What inspired the glamorous gymnastics uniforms?

There was a reason why the company pulled off so many firsts with this year’s Olympics leotards. “We wanted to lean into that hard for Paris, the fashion capital of the world,” Jeanne Diaz, the director of design at GK Elite, told The New York Times. The design team incorporated “high fashion elements… corsetry, Art Nouveau architecture,” and “old Hollywood glamour of the 1920s.”

Incorporating so many stylized elements while ensuring the leotards allowed the gymnasts to perform was a challenge. However, the company brainstormed to make it a reality. Besides taking place in the fashion capital of the world, the Paris Olympics promises to be the most fashionable Games yet. French luxury brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Berluti, have dipped their toes into designing gymnastics uniforms. So the veteran manufacturer wanted to adorn the US gymnastics team with suits that exude elegance while retaining function.

From the first leotard to have over 10,000 crystals, to using a combination of pearls and crystals, GK Elite has once again set the bar. However, they themselves plan to beat their record when LA 2028 rolls around.

Woods is one of the six-player directors involved in shaping the future of the PGA Tour. One of them tweeted, “Tiger as captain, easy win for Europe. Outside of playing everything Tiger does turns to s***.” Some of them point to the delayed negotiations as an indication of Woods’s inefficiency as a leader. “They began ‘negotiating’ the Framework agreement in late 2022…. Now, those continued negotiations impacts (sic) an event occurring in late 2025…. Wow.”

Others believe Woods wanted to stay above the politics of LIV Golf and the PGA Tour. They assume the 82-time PGA Tour winner wanted to play safe. By the next Ryder Cup in 2027, the LIV-PGA Tour divide is likely to be a thing of the past. “In other words he wants 2 wait till LIV & pga merge then captain a winning team w/o all the politics,” one user tweeted.

Interestingly, some also grabbed the opportunity to blast Sun Day Red, Woods’s new apparel line. Previously, ‘sold-out’ Sun Day Red products were selling at double and triple the price at third-party e-commerce platforms like eBay. One user mocked, “I am laser-focused on selling overpriced polos with a shi**y logo and building a new tennis bubble for our simulator league. And playing 3 tournaments per year. One man can only do so much.”

While Tiger Woods was the favorite pick among veteran golfers, the fans don’t share that sentiment. Interestingly, Keegan Bradley, the new Ryder Cup captain, said the former world no.1 could get involved in any way he wanted. Bradley is willing to take advice from the 48-year-old.

One such instance took place before the fourth major of female golf in France.

On Tuesday, Pauline Roussin was interviewed by the team of the Amundi Evian Championship. The team asked her many questions about different aspects of her game, and well, she didn’t disappoint with her answers! One thing that became clear after the interview is that Roussin is extremely funny! She did struggle to answer a few tricky questions, including two legends of the sport, but she also pulled out a joke on herself.

The official Instagram account of the Amundi Evian Championship posted the video featuring the French golfer. To begin with, she was asked about her best score over eighteen holes. She answered that her best score was 9-under, and she shot it at Golf d’Hossegor, in France. Hossegor is an 18-hole course in the middle of a pine and cork oak forest.

However, given the complexity of the name, she ended up being confused about it and trying a couple of pronunciations. She then laughingly accepted defeat and said, “I don’t know how to say it. I’m going to get killed!” This was not just the end of her struggles. She joked her way about choosing a hole-in-one given the condition that a car is given as a reward. Then, hilariously, she said that if it’s par 3, then in a row she will be able to win two cars. Well, she is smart and funny!

Then came the question that would fluster anyone. The team asked her to choose between Tiger Woods and Annika Sorenstam. Well, is this not a question every golfer would struggle with? As per what Roussin stated, it’s hard to choose because one is ‘The Goat’ on the female side and the other is ‘The Goat’ on the male side. So, both. I can’t choose.” Where’s the lie? Right?

Tiger Woods, although not in the best shape right now, has won a total of 82 events on the PGA Tour, including 15 majors. From his 80-under par in the first Masters as a pro to a 12-shot margin of victory over Tom Kite, the runner-up, he has been dominating male golf since 1997. As for Annika Sorenstam, she won over ninety victories worldwide, which included 72 LPGA and 10 major championships. Needless to say, both are GOATs.

When asked about how she manages to keep calm and enter the game to hit through the rounds, Roussin stated that she has her own set of routines that she follows so that she does not otherwise get furious. All the more so, because the French golfer is known for expressing both her anger and happiness exceptionally well on the course. She said, “So to manage my emotions before the competition, I have routines. And otherwise, on the course, well it’s mostly going to be routines too, but a lot of visualization, breathing, simple and concrete things.”

Pauline Roussin is all pumped up to try and get a victory at the Amundi Evian Championship and become the second French golfer after Celine Boutier won it last year. She has been one of the oldest players to play on the same course. As a result, she knows the course inside out! Winning in that course is undoubtedly going to be a significant turn in her professional career.

When asked about her favorite memory of the course, it was not a part of the game that she played. Rather, it was a fun part that the course had to offer. With all excitement, Roussin said, “Ever since I was little and started competing here, it’s been the candy pyramids and chocolate fountains at the Haribo (Amundi Evian) kid’s Cup.”
