The internet mogul previously invested in Angel City FC, which is now valued at $180 million and has been performing brilliantly in the National Women’s Soccer League. However, two important people have inspired Ohanian to invest in the start-up soccer club.
The official Twitter page of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team recently shared some pictures of Serena Williams and her family posing with some of the prominent players. Even Alexis Ohanian was there in the stands, as he was sighted donning the jersey of the American soccer star Alex Morgan.
It later received a response from Ohanian, who was prompted to open up about how the 34-year-old soccer player has inspired him to make the big ‘soccer’ decision to invest in Angel City FC. He commented, “She’s the reason I got into @NWSL ownership”
