A Ticking Timebomb for His Health, Tom Segura Exposes Mike Tyson’s Alarming Addiction: “He Smokes 19 Cigarettes in 25 Minutes”

Mike Tyson is known to smoke we*d. If asked to recall an instance, perhaps a fan might go back to the smoke-filled studio of the ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’, the boxing great’s eponymous podcast. But how does that equate with 19 cigarettes? That too burned off in half an hour? If what Tom Segura told Shaquille O’Neal stands true, then seemingly the youngest heavyweight champion might have accomplished that feat as well.

But the revelation might prove a harbinger of further distress to many fans. They are already concerned as Mike Tyson prepares himself to take on the much younger Jake Paul. The duo are slated for a sanctioned professional fight with specific rules at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium on July 20. The co-host of ‘Your Mom’s House’ was on ‘The Big Aristotle’s show, ‘The Big Podcast With Shaq’. Over a laughter-filled discussion, he mentioned how the little bit of trivia about ‘Iron’ Mike unfolded.

So they met at an airport. The former heavyweight champion’s fearsome reputation had the stand-up comedian worried. “My heart stopped when I felt his hand grab my shoulder. I was like, and then he chatted me up about my show, and then he goes like, We’re coming to your show tonight, brother, and I was like, okay, and then he showed up like at a this is a comedy club,” he said.

Later, though finding it hard to believe initially, the club manager told him that Mike Tyson had arrived. Tom Segura said that throughout the show, he could never make out where Tyson sat. He could just make an assumption based on the loud smacking on the table audible from afar. Later, post-show, they met at the club’s aisle. Mike Tyson then asked if they could go to the green room.

So he took me to my green room; he goes in there, and then we just sit in the green room; he’s smokes like 19 cigarettes in in 25 minutes, and he’s just like, uh, you know, you got a window. I was like, it’s a little late for that bro like smoking and then he just hung out talked boxing,” said Segura.

However, he recalled how the whole incident saw him on the tenterhooks. But to many fans, this might come across as a surprise.

Going the Whole Length

Only recently did the former heavyweight champion make a stark confession. During an interview with Forbes, he talked about how he forced himself to abstain from smoking w*ed and physical intimacy.

He had been hard-disciplining himself away from such pleasure so that he could get back into his old beast mode when he entered the ring against Jake Paul. “It’s just discipline. You know, discipline is doing what you love to do what you love to do doing what you hate to do, but doing it like you love it. You know, I hate not being able to smoke. I’m doing it like I love it. I hate not to be able to sleep with my wife. I’m doing it like I love it.”

Thus, in light of the fresh insights, most of the fans would be hoping that he is back to his regimented ways to maintain optimum health. Smoking, for whatever it is, doesn’t bode well for a warrior who is aging but at the same willing to charge ahead against a boxer who is thirty years his junior.
