Jada Pinkett Smith has claimed that she and Will Smith are going to be together forever despite what has been an incredibly challenging few months for the couple in the public eye.

She revealed earlier in 2023 that she and actor Will Smith had been separated since 2016 but they had not actually gotten a divorce, despite leading largely separate lives.

She has now appeared on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show and stressed again that they will be staying together forever.

“We’re staying together forever. I tried. We tried,” she said.

Revelations about their relationship came out in the build-up towards Pinkett Smith releasing her memoir, ‘Worthy’.

The 52-year-old sat down in October with Hoda Kobt and explained that she and Will “made a promise that there will never be a reason” for them to divorce, hence why they’re still working on their relationship.

“As far as Will, my relationship with him, you know, we went through that long period of separation … in order for us to journey separately and do some journeying together,” she explained.

“It just seems as though we’ve come to a really, really beautiful place together, so I just, I’m happy.

“Yeah, that’s where I am. In this chapter of my life, I am finally happy.”

She also talked about the incident between Will and Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022, where her husband slapped the comedian on stage.
